I haven’t been seeing as much lurrus recently tbh. Lurrus control and rakdos burn are both great lurrus decks but the next best one is orzhov DnT

That's because the 4 copy limit became a thing. When MTG first came out, you could just slot 16 Lightning Bolts, now you gotta get creative about it.

You know Bowmasters is format warping when even burn plays it. Back in the days of faithless looting burn started to play it just before it got banned, and cutting bump(lava spike) and ragavan for room really goes to show how broken it is

I believe Bowmasters is the most played card in Timeless, it's by far the most format warping card in the format.

The reason it's so highly played is because it's a brainstorm/treasurr cruise format and the card is also a answer to a opposing bowmaster. So it's a 2 hard hate piece and answer. A powerful card but brainstorm would be too OP without it.

When you say "i looked at the numbers", what does that mean? I think a behind the scenes "deck doctor" video series would be cool to show how you evaluate a deck and make your tweaks/optimizations

Almost identical to the list I got to mythic with, only difference is instead of Eidolons i have two hopeless nightmares for some burn and discard. Super fun deck but struggles into titan.

Game 1, reason why you bolted the shredder before playing DRC? Didn't want the extra surveil?

If you DRC then bolt, the bolt is the 2nd spell played and will trigger connive on shredder. Connive trigger then resolves first, so opponent will have the chance to grow it to a 2/4, and survive bolt.

I don't see why you'd play Skewer the Critics when you could play more copies of Bump in the Night instead. Isn't Bump in the Night just a better version of that effect, assuming you have black mana (which in a format with fetches, I'd say is a reasonable assumption)?

Skewer can remove creatures in certain scenarios...not sure if it ever does though.

It's harder to get double black mana to cast Reckoner Raid and Bump in the same turn as opposed to Raid and Skewer. Killing creatures or hitting Planeswalkers is not irrelevant either.

@@LegenVDyou should have no difficulty getting double black pips in the times that you need it with good mana I'm this format. I would only run one basic mountain since bloodmoon just turns your duals into mountains.

In time more cards will trickle in and make the meta bigger. I'm a big legacy fan, and I'm sure the further they add old powerhouses the wider the field will get.
