How beautiful is that woman, her smile inspires lots of things I can't describe. I admire her, and all the people who are in the same situation. Makes me think we should be more grateful with life, just for the reason we have one.

PLEASE don't use the term "wheelchair bound". Ashley and other chair users aren't "bound" to their chairs! Our chairs liberate us to LIVE a normal life. Yeah we have wheels under our butt but we're out living life!

I declare myself as Ashley´s admirer! What a strong woman willing to succeed in life. She demonstrates that barriers only exist in peoples´ minds. Keep going dear no matter what you´ll have to face in life. God bless you.

Just watching this in 2020 since t age of 19 my mobility has got worse before I was 19 I was in a residential college for t blind. It showed me just because u can’t see properly or at all, it shouldn’t stop u doing stuff like everyone else, 8 years ago I became a 100% wheelchair user due to my disabilities getting real bad. Just because someone is in a wheelchair don’t think they ain’t got a brain u look at Stephen Hawkins. We just do things a little different and please think about us before taking the lift, going into t disabled bathroom, parking in t wheelchair space they are built to help people with disabilities live as well as u can.

For SENA students their answers: Ashley is a student at the University of Iowa, she has a cerebral palsy condition, which is why she has problems walking and also with her motor skills. She does not complain about anything, she just says it's a matter of getting settled. On the other hand, he mentions that it is difficult for him to write, that he leaves the campus 20 minutes in advance because it is so full, that maybe twice he has hit someone with his chair, but that it was accidentally. She says that the really difficult thing is to deal with the constructions maybe around the university campus, but also when the weather conditions are not so good, it will take 25 minutes to get to class. Finally she says that she would love to run.

I have walked over 55 years. Now I’m unable to walk. I have spinal stenosis and tumors in my spine and other medical problems in my back and legs. My husband pushes me in a manual wheelchair. I’m wanting him to order me a power wheelchair so I can get around my self. I’m home 24/7 except going to Doctor appointments. I’m laying down at home not being able to do tings I once enjoyed.

You've touch my heart with your comment. My mother died recently of a spread cancer. I knew and lived with her how slowly her life changed and she couldn't do things she would like to. Your comment touch my heart because it was like hearing my mother (who also had 55) I wish you all the happiness and the good things live can offer, you have a friend in Colombia. God bless you, Joan.
