Yeah, WayV and NCT 127 "shared" two songs, Regular and Come Back. Prepix Ill (Ten's mentor) who did the "readjusting" of the choreo for WayV afaik. he said he tried to make their individual style stands out. And it's interesting for see the difference for me, because I feel like 127's execution is more swaggy and sharp (just like you said), matching the style of their dance center, taeyong. meanwhile WayV is clean yet fluid with that fluid-sharp-fluid movements, just like Ten's style, their main dancer

Could you react to the process that ten and winwin did when choreographing Billie Eilish and Khalid song. The process is amazing and very organic. I think you would love to see the process.

Now that you have heard the English and Mandarin version of "Regular" , you should also check out the Korean version (The MV is slightly different from the English version because the lyrics are different.) And once you have done that you should then look up the lyrics to all 3. If you look up the lyrics for the Korean and Mandarin versions and compare them to the English version you will see that even though it's the same beat and the same title, the lyrics are different for all 3 songs. (They also have performed a Japanese version in concert or on a program or something that I watched -- I can't remember exactly where I heard it) WayV's choreography is different because the whole song is about different things. That is what makes the song so interesting because they have so many different versions -- and even though they sound like they are the same song, each version is about different things and they have different messages. If you look up the lyrics for the Korean version you will discover that the lyrics for the English version of "Regular" is almost opposite of what they are talking about in the Korean version. That's why the album is called Regular Irregular. The English version is what I would describe as the cocky version of the song and it hits on the aesthetic of what appeals more to an American audience. The English version talks about being famous and having lots of money and still not being satisfied until they possess all the riches and fame. "Regular" is supposed to be NCT-127's U.S. debut so that is why they made an English version. However, the Korean version is what I would call the humble version of the song. The Korean lyrics talk about how they are constantly working hard and are never satisfied with the end result and how they hope to have the success that they always dream of, etc. -- which is what appeals more to a Korean audience. The Chinese version of the song also has different lyrics. The MV for WayV's version of "Regular" is about dominating in the technology realm and that is why you see them as stock traders in the stock market and at one point they are literally inside a computer, etc. It's all about dominating in the business world. "Regular" was technically WayV's debut song as well. You should really take the time to see what makes the 3 versions so different, besides the fact that they are in 3 different languages. :D It's really interesting to see how 3 songs can be created in 3 different languages using the same beat and feel, and yet have completely different messages. It just goes to show how diverse the music industry is and yet still so similar. :D Another reason why WayV's MV is so different from the Korean and English version is because they are the Chinese sub-unit and they can't have anything that might connect them to NCT or make it look like they might be working with their Korean company if they want to promote in China. Because of the political issues between Korea and China right now, they have to appear as if they are a Chinese group and are separate from anything to do with SM in order for the Chinese government to allow them to appear on Chinese programs, etc. and to promote themselves and their album in the country.

Hendery has a very distinct look for me so he was easy to learn but yeah, I struggled with telling YangYang and Xiaojun apart. Vocally YangYang is a rapper and Xiaojun is an omg heavenly vocalist, but it took watching the entire season of Dream Launch Plan before I could really tell their faces apart

Watch their "Come back" cover which is a song by NCT. I personally think that they slayed it harder (mainly Ten) and the song slaps. The cover was also filmed the same day as regular since they wear the same outfits :)

I always notice that 127 version is like more sharp, tight and more swaggy then wayv version is like more groovy yet freakin clean af. fun fact: Regular is WayV's ORIGINAL debut song, so that's why their MV title is 'WayV Regular' not 'Regular (Chinese ver.)'. The NCT 127 versions are just cover from WayV's Regular. And WayV supposed to debut in 2018, but bcs of the political relationship between China and South Korea, their debut are delayed.

I am a fan of both groups, though I lean more into WayV (thanks to my TEN tunnel vision), but personally there are some different moves from 127 version that I like in this version. Other than 1:13 that you already pointed out, we have 3:49 the moves are different from what JN/YT/TY/MK? did, 3:59 WayV moving in circle, 4:25, def 5:04 wow and notice the transition from KUN to HENDERY, also 5:39 OH MY GOOOOD TEN AND OF COURSE, THE KNEE AND THE KICK 7:06 the chore for the last chorus is absolutely beautiful, very WayV, despite it's the same song as 127, but WayV offers something different and something very them and manages to put that distinction which is very important IMO. WayV and 127 has no MV for Come Back (only dance choreo for WayV. none for 127), but I wonder if you gonna react to that song as well? In Come Back it's really clear that how many members dancing greatly impact the whole image of the choreo and I am curious of your opinion. That theatre is actually the SM Artium theatre where they’ve been holding their Beyond Live concert at 😂😂😂 it actually is super futuristic because it employs AR technology and a surround screen with exactly those classic theatre seats, so that wasn’t CG!

yeah i 100% agree, nct 127's moves were a lot tighter and structured while wayv's was bigger and more groovy. as for the mvs, 127 definitely had more of a wild, young & rich vibe whereas wayv felt more grown and boujee which is ironic considering theyre a lot younger than 127 LMAO

it's good that winwin was in both but at the same time regular was winwin's last comeback with 127 and he didnt even get to participate with the repackage song aka simon says, he was in the mv for a few seconds but never promoted with it because right after 127 regular promotions he had to work on wayv regular promotions again, and theres a clip where he did look upset about it. it goes to show that sm really mistreated him but now that he's in wayv, hes a lot happier than how sm treated him in nct.

tbh, i think wayv and nct 127 really got influenced by their main dancer. for wayv, they have Ten as their main dancer, Ten's style is more groovy, smooth, feeling than Taeyong who is sharp and intensed. WayV seems to have more synchronization because maybe they have less members than NCT 127 so they are better at rotation. If you are interested, you can check out Baby Dont Stop which really differentiate Ten and Taeyong style. btw, i can feel you whenever you talk about Lucas. That's a mood :D
