Fully agree about the feminine movements. I was thinking about this just today that Deja Vu is so different from the typical ATEEZ song and yet it's also so them. They struck a perfect balance between the sharp movements and the sensual, feminine body roll and hip movements. It was really very refreshing to see. I really really want them to try a contemporary dance someday. I fully believe they will do justice to it, specially people like San, Yeosang, Yunho and Seonghwa who have very pretty body lines and grace when they dance.

“Girls like guys that can sway” yes yes we do. Seonghwa in the video with the outfit that gave him this graceful deco-late 😭 omg so beautiful. He was so elegant in his movements. Him and San came to just mess me up.

besides yunho being the center for the intro and hip swaying part he really caught my eye and made those parts stand out to me so much that when i think deja vu it's all that comes into my head, he's such an amazing dancer and i don't think people give him enough credit where it's due. they're all truly exceptionally talented idols and i can't wait for more live performances.

I love how you talked about the feminine movements really every word…I’m just happy that Ateez aren’t afraid of that femininity and do it very confidently. Also Like when they are dancing to gg songs they will do it the way the girls are doing it and they aren’t shy and don’t make fun of it idk why I just love that.

I totally agree with you. They just embrace the part of feminity they have, and it's beautiful and refreshing. I think that the way they are also very respectful and open to everything is helping them to do that, especially with Hongjoong by their sides. Since they don't make fun of each others, everyone is confident doing these kind of things.

There is a lot of dance movement here from their previous choreographies that we can’t notice clearly so that we get a deja vu while watching them performing. What a GENUIS IDEA!!

That punch-grab-shove Woosan sequence is much more dramatic in the MV, and I've seen them do it slightly differently in various stages, but if you take a look at the M2 San's fancam for example, he stumbles very intentionally, so who knows.

don't think anyone noticed this but: at the end of the song when Hongjoong is ahead and the other members in a straight line, they move like dominoes at every beat from both the ends. From our left: the move starts from Wooyoung< Seonghwa< Mingi< Yeosang and from our right: San< Yunho< Jongho< Yeosang, Both end with Yeosang' final move. THIS IS PURE GENIUS!

This reaction went straight to my list of favorite videos by youtubers. Thanks for saying all that, couldn't agree more. Every kind of art is a way to express, and dancing uses your own body as instrumental to reach that expression, regardless of gender, sexuality or prejudices. It's a subject that should be more talked about, and accepted. It's a fact, and if someone's not comfortable, they're not forced to do so, but to those who do, they shouldn't listen to misconception and prejudices from others.
@saia126

Honestly, to have both sharp and smooth movements in the dance makes it 1000x sexier. I really do think that they did it phenomenal creating a sexy concept. The control over the hips, god... I just can't get over it.

Jeff I just wanted to say that you made very valid and perceptive points. As a big Atiny I can say that your attention to detail is great. San is typically more stable before he leans back but I noticed that in the live music show performances that he sometimes stumble or take a few extra steps. Your comments about Yeosang are really spot on and I feel the same. But what's really interesting there's a video of Joong talking about their overall concept and continuing their story. What stood out to me was how he hinted at how Yeosang has been trapped or sort of lost this whole time and it isn't until the last moment where we see in the MV Yeosang opening his eyes and the hourglass is broken that he is essentially "free". I somehow allude this to him appearing more in the MV and him receiving more center attention in this comeback unlike the others. Idk if this was pre-arranged throughout their debut, but if not this is one strange coincidence 😅

Yes! Most male idols tend to stray away from the original choreo when covering gg/female idol dances and it kinda annoys me sometimes. Fans wanna see you, a male idol, hit those "feminine" body waves and side hips. I get that they have individuality and they wanna mix in some of their original moves but are you sure you just don't wanna swing your hair and butt? I'm not hating/disliking them for those, just to be clear, I'm just grateful for those male idols that actually stick to it.
