People tend to forget that blackpink have always been a performance focused group. Their choreos always take it into account the amount of breath the girls need to use to be able to execute the move but still sound good. Their vocal technique needs a lot of breathe support, which is why their voices sound richer compared to dance focused kpop group. The vocals of dance focused groups sounds “airy” because their choreography is so hard and demands a lot of energy which comes oxygen. As you also pointed out, YG groups don’t have extreme choreography but they make up for it with their charisma. Look at Bigbang, their choreography for bang bang bang is simple but when you watch their performances for that song, it’s still iconic. I mean their MAMA performance is phenomenal.

You found lisa's moves similar to how she moves in her lilifilms is because here she didn't hold back a lot which she only does in her lilifilms. She was actually feeling it and showed us her real performer, but i still believe she can do much more than this. I mean the girl wasn't even out of breathe even after stealing the stage. We absolutely need this lisa, we don't want her to hold herself back anymore.

The fact that Lisa did the choreography for the group for five years as a traine, shows once again that the position of main dancer will always belong to her. She got A on all the monthly evaluations so she can dance, rap, sing (she was going to be lead vocal), choreograph, write (an article came out that says Lisa helped write her rap on LTHM and she wrote her rap on AIYL), she can be a mentor, in conclusion Lisa is the ACE. She is savage in every performance.

I really liked the choreo (I didn't know the backlash the choreography was receiving in advance), but I feel that Lisa stood out more with the flow of the song, not only cuz she's the main dancer since the other girls dance pretty well too; it's just some moves looks awkward and not so clean when jn, js or rs are doing it...

i think lisa tones it down when she does group dances bc when she dances like this she tends to stick out more and i remember her saying to trainees while teaching that in groups they should look more or less similar. but i think she just was really into this particular song and kinda did a little more than we’re used to

I don't know if u know him but he's a solo artist called Dawn (he's an ex member of a group called Pentagon). He's an amazing dancer, producer, composer and rapper! He made a comeback called dawndididawn and the choreo is fire (there is already a dance practice) and the dancers who dance with him are BBtrippin (choreographers and dance crew of Ateez).
