They incorporated American Sign Language into the song! The part where you said they're referencing a mirror, it's ASL for "face"!! They have an ASL version of this song on their official channel!

i just noticed at 18:22 that the two chairs on the right were not aligned, and maya spotted that and then fixed that one chair while lifting herself up as part of the choreo. it's so subtle and professional

They released the ASL version! And turns out there's a lot of ASL words and sentences that is incorporated to the choreography, like Harvey's first line and Juria's line, too. You should check that out and then watch the dance practice again. It's like finding easter eggs.

It's insane that not only they're incorporating ASL to the choreography, they also incorporating props to the choreography. I know chairs as props are hard, and the fact they don't have a backup dancers to re-arrange the chairs for the next 'move' is insanely seamless.

The choreo caught me off guard at first but damn, it's smart of them to put a diffent approach and style for their dance. I honestly think that its unique and interesting. The choreo may look simple but I sure as hell that its hard to execute and the girls delivered!

something incredible i noticed about the chair rearrangement that happens in harvey’s verse other than the graceful pickup…they let go of the chairs one after the other on BEAT…even when they have to rearrange the props in full view they make it work with the music wow also you can really see the different strengths of some of the members as dancers here… they really kept maya in the center for the fluid hip moment in the chorus…it also seems like a trend to give hinata a lot of fast steps 😂

Much of this choreography uses ASL (American Sign Language) and they released an ASL version of it. Pink & Black jacket is Hinata one of the Main Vocalists but also a Main Dancer. I heard this was choreographed by Sienna Lalau. They just announced 2nd Pre-Release from 1st mini album NEW DNA titled TGIF for this Friday.

12:03 Cocona has been listening to hiphop music since she was three yo and been rapping since 13 yo (I’m not sure about those numbers but around these years) that’s why they call her hiphop maknae. She’s best at swaggy hiphop moves

The other reason they removed the “I” is their are 7 members. And the fact that when they did the live performance of this song, the chairs spelled GRL GVNG.

7:53 I was having this conversation with myself the other day lmao the fact that cocona actually ISNT a main dancer, or even has a dance position at allll is so crazy to me ! Like not even lead dancer…she’s so incredibly talented and out of all the members, she’s my 2nd favorite dancer. :,)

If I'm not mistaken Cocona is a part of XG's dance line. Her, Jurin and Hinata. You can see their dance styles are the most powerful since pre-debut among the members. Then, I would say Maya, Harvey, and Chisa followed closely behind. In fact, Chisa and Juria as XG's main vocalists have better dance skills than some of kpop idols out there (ik they're not kpop idols though).

I'd almost want to say the choreo is more complicated but looks less intricate/impressive. Working with any object during a performance would up the difficulty, in my opinion. Especially for it to look as synchronized as it does. If one chair is slightly off, it would fuck with the whole formation; there's less room for error. Even though I wish they had choreo similar to shooting star because I found this one to be slightly boring for my taste, I can still appreciate the art and dedication of this one to have it look so clean.

Same with you Jeff. Akala ko Girl Giving and it doesn’t make sense. When I heard in the music Girl Gang, that’s when it made sense. I laughed at myself. When I heard you,myself says: “See! See! ‘Di ka nag-iisa girl!”
