Honestly, * this * is how you do an empowerment song, and the rest of the album along with GRL GVNG seems to be going down that path like you said. It's clean, simple and straight to the point. I'm anticipating that TGIF will be somewhere in the middle of the record. A very "horizontal" progression with no drastic highs or lows, but the energy is there regardless to make it a good interlude to bridge into the second half of the tracklist.

There's a runway on the stage of HITC LA....I can so see them strutting down it to this song today.

Yah I agree…I thought that they were visiting Earth when they did Tippy Toe to Mascara showing how they had to adapt to Earth…and with Left to Right was them deciding to stay or go from Earth…..Shooting Star was going to back to their planet…and telling us that they have to go back to their star or planet….and this album will show what they have gained from Earth and being back to their planet to share what they know or learned! Just an idea…because they are dealing with Evolution and Sci-fi! Even that the teaser photo when they are in embryo chromosome thing!

Ok so this is my opinion on XG and their style… I think like you said. They were on earth either visiting or living here. Tippy Toes was the song to literally tell us too look out for them and that they’re going to keep us on our tippy toes. Mascara was a filler in the XG lore or just their pre lift off party jam. Shooting Star was the song where they went from earthlings or reverted back to their alien was as they shoot out/ off this world. Left right was them is the cosmos searching for another planet to party on while decompressing from earth. Grl Gvng was them arriving on another planet to gather their “girl gang” groupies. TGIF is them partying/modeling on said GG planet or just on a 3rd planet. But that’s just my theory.
