to answer her question: ten IS a b-boy (sorta)! he's more choreo focused now but he originally started off as a breakdancer back in thailand, so in sm rookies performances he was always the one doing the tricks lol. there's an nct youtube variety show too where he was freestyling against shotaro and he started breaking on carpet 😭

Yes, Ten has a B-boy background. He actually competed in B-boy competitions when he was younger and he also has gymnastics training. If you watch any of the reality survival shows that Ten has been a part of as a mentor, you will see that they have talked about his dance background and they even show clips of him competing as a B-boy, etc.Ten actually doesn't have a background in ballet or contemporary, but he really likes the genre of dance, which is why WinWin and him decided to try contemporary style for their "Lovely" self-choreographed number as part of WayV's Rainbow V project when WayV first debuted.

Ten only did B-boy in his teens before getting into SM so it wasn't as long enough as people imagined it to be. He also did ballet but mostly likely just a very short while cuz he wouldn't mention it as much compared to his bboy and hip-hop background. I think it was really his GYMNASTICS background that needs to be credited when it comes to preparing and sort of kneading his body to be able to do the things he could do with it in almost any kind of dance. And the fact that he does all sorts of sports (swimming, basketball, badminton, snowboarding, surfing, etc..) I think his body is just gifted, really. On top of that, he is such an artist too so it's like he's got the perfect recipe to develop into a very athletic and artistic dancer that he is now.

Ten had knee surgery sometime between his Dream within a Dream solo and New Heroes solo project so that might explain why he needs to be careful with doing b-boy tricks and such. Though he's never exclusively talked about it.

Fun fact: The choreo for this comeback is easy by Ten's standards lol. By his own admission he wanted it to be simple.

The fact that this is Ten's first "official" solo album release... like he's already proved to be such a strong soloist with a great sense of who he is! He's a unique mover like you said! The quality of his 10 Film - the choreography, the music production. 10/10 lol.

Ten waited 8 years for this and I really think he had fun and that is what counts because I just know he's going to get even more bold with his future solo's. I would love more of these guys and Zin reacting to Ten. You have to show them a live performance please.

I knew Ten's voice is not your fav but I am glad you enjoyed the Performance Ten video Yayyyy! The lyrics to Dangerous are so savage (for Kpop) like Shinee's Don't Call Me Oh and Ten actually mentioned on Eunchae's Star Diary ( I think) Birthday as one of the more difficult choreographies that he has done. He talked about how it is hard to perform live because they normally film performances 3-4 times for each music show. I think that's why he only did one music show. I remember him being a little shaky with that part where he has to balance himself on one foot.

Ten doesn't have any previous ballet training, but since joining SM he really levelled up his skills across many styles and can adapt to almost anything, it seems. He was a big fan of contemporary and that's why the dance with Winwin happened. Ten was a hip-hop base dancer and trained in that since he was 13, before being accepted in the SM Global Audition in 2013 (he had offers from other labels before SM but didn't accept).
