I feel the same way about having the necessary fragrances that I love and would repurchase again. My solution is to keep my collection at 50 bottles and try not to repeat the scent profile too much. Something for every occasion.

I completely understand what you said about the Luckyscent dabbers. At this stage in the game, Luckscent should not be selling samples in dabber bottles. Hell, at this stage in the game, we should not need a code, which cannot be combined with their 10% off codes, to get free shipping from them, but I digress.

I’m a LuckyScent Fangirl and I can’t stand the Dabbers but Steve explained how to use the dabbers on a live vid. Pour it…let the fragrance run down your arm Or wherever and this gives you the equivalent of a spray…sometimes I will get a couple of samples of the same scent to Make sure🤷🏾♀️

@@sandrasmith1035 That’s a lie & a cop out. When you SPRAY with force through an atomizer something definitely happens to the molecules that does NOT occur running it down your arm. I HATE DABBERS-esp those tiny lame ones you can barely hold-they should be outlawed😂

It's interesting how we all appreciate different things. Jardins de Misfah was love at first sniff for me. I love that is so different from everything else in my collection.

Nothing wrong with decluttering. We declutter in all other aspects of our belongings. Perfumes don't get to be safe from a good clean out. 🤣🤣🤣

I absolutely agree that if you have had your time with a fragrance, or you don't love it, it is TOTALLY okay to say goodbye to it. Why not pass it on to someone else who will love it? Share the love! You have no obligation to any fragrance. There are so many out there, that there is just no need to keep something in your life that you don't absolutely love. And you are 100% allowed to change your mind about stuff! I hope no one comes at you for this. I found this to be very helpful and inspiring! Thank you!

Hey Sharida, great video. I just decluttered about 40 bottles and I still have more to go. My goal is to have no more than 20-25 bottles. I'm only keeping what I truly love and wear. As I've said before, I personally find it overwhelming sometimes to try to figure out what to wear everyday with a large collection. OH NO! FDB New York Avenue?????????? - I absolutely love that one. I just wore it yesterday. ❤

I’m not mad at all. My senses are ever changing. Every year or so I taste test foods that I never liked just to see if my mind has changed and sometimes it actually does. Some fragrances I just get tired of or just change completely to my nose. I love certain colors on my nails, certain hairstyles then I’m over them. 😅 It’s life! I’m here for all your content!

I did blind buys for the Byredo brand and I can't give it away fast enough..... I DO NOT LIKE THAT HOUSE........ I am sooo happy that Fragrance De bois gave me samples of the house before I bought because that is a NO NO NO......

Girl thank you for your honest take on the Brown Sugar Babe oils. I saw a video on them and almost grabbed the cherry one but something about those ingredients made me pause. Glad I did! Also, totally understand not wanting a sprayless collection. I’ve been building my collection over the last year and have been very particular about what I bring in. If I don’t love it, I don’t want it!

I can honestly say I don't have any perfumes to declutter. If I'm not reaching for a fragrance, it's because it's been discontinued and I'm trying to preserve it until I can get a back up or two. Noir pour Femme by Tom Ford is a case in point.

Honestly, I don't usually declutter my perfume collection. First, because I do not let myself be swept away into the hype of perfumes. Second, because I really love what I have except for those blind buy scents that did not have the opportunity to sample such as Musc Ravageur, Mitsouko, dupes of some OG fragrances.

I’ve been in a huge declutter mood! I’ve gotten rid of sooo much. I now only want to keep babies that I loveeee or that are super sentimental! I’ve realized I used to just buy, buy, buy! Def going to be more intentional moving forward. Plus I don’t have spaceeeee😂

Omg I been trying to run all your videos back and figure out the name of a particular fragrance u mentioned and I’m having no luck! You talked about it along with a story about having to remove a woman from a hotel room. As you were escorting her out you smelled the fragrance and asked her what it was! I’m stumped! I need to buy that immediately ❤

I just decluttered 40 fragrances . Im only interested in having 30-40 fragrances nie . I’ve realized for me that I love a lot of fragrances but I don’t necessarily want to smell them on my body all day lol . Pass those oils on to me sis 👀

I often move things along if I am not wearing them or they're just not vibing anymore. I’m so glad it worked out for you with Mashuro cause that fragrance was a no ma’am for me. You just made a few people sad with this declutter 😂especially NY Nights. That’s a huge favorite. Jardins de Misfah is making her rounds of fan favorite as well. It’s an ok scent for me. It wasn’t something I felt I needed in my collection.

I say if your not reaching for them let it go, I’m glad you kept Sintra and others! Thankfully I only have 2 fragrances that I’m on the fence with everything else I love, sushi Imperiale and NR Rouge in the red cube bottle!

I’m also curating a smaller collection. I decluttered Angel’s Share (I like the scent better on others), and anything by House of Sillage, Fragrance duBoise and Kayali; basically any brand that spends more on hype, marketing or the bottles than the actual quality of the juice for the price.

I agree if it’s not being used it should find another home! I recently decluttered Jardins de Misfah too, I couldn’t get past the opening and wasn’t in love with the dry down either

Hey Sharida💞 I decluttered NY nights last year and I wasn’t feeling Milk, which I returned. It has nothing on the good girl Blanche Bete, which I blind bought bc of you. I wore the hell out it Dec/Jan. The dent is very much denting. Everything has a time and a season. And these fragrances season are OVERrrrr. 😂 great video

Hi Sharida, I have Sintra and enjoy the unusual green note in it. It is a compliment getter for me. But... I don't have a ton of orange blossom fragrances. I think more people like the straight sweet sent profile from things like Orianna or LDBS. Thanks for sharing the fragrances that are leaving and why you are letting them go. I feel the same about Sintra & all my neroli/marshmallow fragrances. LSDSE, Sintra, JPG Classique Pinup, DG Pour Femme & the Intense. 😩 I collected them all because I was obsessed with the scent profile. Now, I just need one because they all smell the same. Sintra is a little more green, but I have yet to wear it. I’ve been entertaining getting a bottle of Bond NYNs though. But a tester bottle only-bond is not going to take all my money.

I agree with you about body oils- the carrier oil sometimes has its own aroma and it detracts from your fragrance. I have a few jojoba-based, scented oils that bother me in that way- but not all!

The thought of decluttering gives me anxiety. The problem is that a fragrance I didn’t click with I’ve gone back to later and I loved… but I know I need to do a decluttering.

Ok yes, same experience I had with Mashumaro. I was SO excited for it, but it was not what I expected at all. All I could smell was the rose, personally.

I’m glad to hear your thoughts on Bond no. 9. That house has been a non-starter for me because I just can’t abide the bottles. 😬 They look like Rite-Aid fragrances to me. To me, the bottle is part of the experience in how a fragrance makes me feel!

Happy blessed Saturday pretty lady. I love all your videos, you keep it real! I blind bought Rosso Pompei by Tiziana Terenzi and it is way to citrusy. It smells like rubbing alcohol in the top, and I can’t do it ! I also might declutter Ivory Route by Xerjoff!!! I have Ani and Ambre Nuit, and to me they are similar, and I wear them more frequently 😮

I tested Rosso Pompei on skin in Saks and boy am I glad I did! Was about to blind buy soooo many times! Scent became super annoying really fast to me. Can’t imagine smelling that 10hrs straight.

Yeah I hate seeing that. I can see falling out of love a year or two later as your nose definitely changes but… to “LOVE” a fragrance and then be decluttering 60 days later?! That math 🧮 is not math for me lol

Sharida 🥰 , love the beautiful look as always ... your collection is huge I'm guessing at this point and I totally understand changing nose and taste but My jaw dropped for real when I saw Sintra and NYN's on this list.... 2 big loves for me ❣ NYN's is kind of my party girl scent tho lol ( I'm too old to be a party girl any more but don't care 😂 ) maybe if I had tried Neroli Blanc Intense I wouldn't have added Sintra... 🙄

Totally agree on Commodity Milk Expressive. I love woodsy scents but I feel misled by reviews on that one lol. Definitely not lactonic like our girl Blanche Bete! Barely winters here in South Texas either, learning that I need to keep my cold weather fragrances to a minimum as a result! Imma snag Commodity Milk Personal during the VIB sale! Thanks hun!

When you said Brown Sugar babes I felt so much guilt leave because I purchased $155 worth of product and was utterly let down. The body oils smelled like Johnson and Johnson’s baby oil mixed with a bit of fragrance. The Fragrance oils were 30% of the scent it’s was supposed to dupe and for $55 per oil I said never again. I really wanted to love it because it black owned woman business but I don’t. I don’t feel it’s worth the price they are charging.

I was pissed about Mashumaro too...its soooooooo dang smoky but I kept coming back to it...its just something about it that I love. I paired it with Roses Vanille and some marshmallow body oil and it gave. I got quite a few compliments.

I can't believe your getting rid of Tom Ford Violet Orchid.. becuase it's discontinued. Thankfully, last week, I was able to get a 10ml vile of it from one of the discount websites 🙄💕

I need to be doing the same thing, honestly. I have some fragrances that I don’t reach for at all. I think my problem is that 90% of the time I’m at home(I work from home) it’s hard to wear them all. I keep buying like a crazy person though lol

Hi Sharida. I too decluttered NY Nights. It did nothing for me. Also, so many others I sold or gave to my daughter. Pretty bottles or not ya gotta go.... it didn't bother me in the beginning of my journey but 3 years later and thousands upon thousands of dollars spent I do care that I bought a 300 plus bottle of perfume and it's just sitting around. I plan to declutter 25 to 35 fragrances by summer. And then more.....

Ok good! So I wasn’t the only one who wasn’t feeling Unique'e Luxury Mashumaro. I’m still waiting for him to release his Mango fragrance. Hopefully that’s much better then Mashumaro and it doesn’t take as long to be released.

Speaking of Epico, I have a decant of Vani Charnel that I told myself I didn't need a full bottle of... But I've recently revisited it and the candied fruits in this are making me swoon! Lol I already had 7 bottles on my wishlist, but I'm in no rush to get anything so there's no urgency there. I'll probably just snatch bottles up as they come across my radar for good deals. I haven't tried the body oils from Brown Sugar Babe, but I'm really enjoying their concentrated perfume oils! I did get the perfume oil of Caked Up and it smelled like a synthetic birthday cake candle which I didn't like. And then Sweet Thang just smelled like Pink Sugar so that was an immediate no lmao. But their perfume oil dupes of Vanilla 28, Donna Born in Roma, and then their original Cloud 9 scent are really good! I'm planning to go back for at least 4 more for layering purposes this spring and summer.

The only fragrance that is currently on my chopping block is Blue Sahara by Moresque. While it smells really good I just don’t really have an interest in Aventus like scents. I actually prefer it to Hacivat I’ve had a better experience with Hacivat as it was the gateway for me to get into Nishane which quickly became one of my favorite houses. Nishane is fully worth the price whereas I can’t say the same for Moresque.

Ahh i am so glad i didnt blind buy Mashumaro i was close after watching your review on it! I am also curating my collection from likes to loves. my husband said it seems like your decluttering faster than you are purchasing lol 🙈 I didnt like new york nights on me it smells like banana and i dont like the smell of banana lol

Maybe keep the Bvlgari for the bottle at least😄 that bottle is lux and gorgeous and should be displayed. BSB definitely cheaped-out on those oils. Castor oil is hard to mask, but de-scented castor oil does exist that could have been used.
