Many times me and my woman walk while looking down and if you relaize some walk in while looking down at there phones. But yes some are fake for sure. If you want to do something, at least do it in style. Get a 5ML sample of a GOOD PERFUME, something more expensive from what she wears. A sample won't cost much, and DON'T over spray it. 2-3 sprays on her chair will do it. A good perfume would imply the imaginary girl is not trash, so bring on the COMPETITION ANXIETY.
