I love Fire at Will! I smell brown sugar yum mines and it lasts a good 6-7 hours for me.

It’s funny because I was unimpressed with vani charnel after getting a decant at first. I thought it was pretty but so light. But I was absolutely shocked that others around me smelled it and said it was strong. I ended up getting a few compliments that day. I don’t think I’ll end up buying a full bottle because I like to be able to smell my own scent bubble too. I’ll just enjoy my decant.

I have Raised Spirits and Fire At Will, and I’m loving them. Luckily, Raised Spirits does not lean masculine on me, and my husband likes it too. Fire At Will does not last that long on my skin or I probably get anosmic to it, but still remains as one of my fave vanillas. Much cheaper at Jovoy too. As for Ani, I love it on the bottle but find it challenging to wear, my 15ml original bottle has been with me for 2 years and I can only wear it if layered with other sweet or vanilla fragrances. If I wear it by itself, it leans very masculine on me. I wear it with Hundred Silent Ways, or other fragrances. 😁 Wet Cherry Liquor is in my wishlist. 🍒🍒🍒

I sampled Vani Charnel and fell in love! Yes it’s definitely light it’s not a power house! But to me it’s a long lasting light vanilla caramel with fruits fragrance! I bought a full bottle of this! And raised spirits is one I didn’t like at first! And now that my sample is gone I want a full bottle lol it is definitely unisex but that’s what I like about it! I hear Demi Rawlings fragrance is similar to RS but sweeter… so maybe try Demi fragrances 😊

I think those scents of wood fragrances have been handing out a lot of pr and that made me wonder how genuine a lot of the lost for that line is, but plum and cognac sounds absolutely up my street. I would love to try that. I sample ani a few weeks ago, along with 100 silent ways and I really like both of them. Worth the hype.

So funny... I broke my decant rule to buy a FB of Ani too. 🤣 It is in my Top 10 for life. I absolute am addicted to it. It is so amazingly complex and beautiful and every time I wear it I smell something different but so delicious and everything is so gorgeously blended. STUNNING.

Love bdk!! I think you would really enjoy Jasmin wood. Creme de cuir is also a very beautiful unisex soft suede fragrance.

The chocolate in Tobac Rose is like a hidden gem. You smell hints of it. I just love it. I have to be in the mood for it

I was very drawn to BDK Tabac Rose but it was a no for me. I love a tobacco note but there’s too much other stuff going on. The opening was sharp and then the chocolate and patchouli got very dark and bitter on me and dragged everything down. I’m still working my way through my BDK sample set! I’m with you on green notes. Ani was too peppery and masculine to me but maybe I should revisit it!

JBY, thank you, thank you for this!! I watch A LOT (probably too much tbh) of fragrance content as I like to hear many perspectives. But you are someone who, when I watch, I put a lot of trust in as we seem to have similar noses/body chemistry. (Although you have a higher tolerance for white florals and rose and I am more comfortable with a very woody drydown) I appreciate your saving me from spending 💸 on a decant of Fire at Will and Secret Tryst. Basic vanilla? Big Spray? No TY! And I'm waiting for my full Sample Set of Nishane to arrive, so now I'm jumping up and down even more to test Ani! I've been a subbie for a few months and you've never disappointed me. Keep up the great work! 🎉

You so NEED TO TRY CRÈME DE CUIR by BDK🤩! It’s a the most velvety leather fragrance and I feel it has hints of VELVET TONKA at the dry down ❤

You are a woman after my own heart. Not being a fan of "green" notes is totally me but I'd even go a step further and categorize green/fresh/citrus as well just not usually being my style. So had a little chuckle at Memo 😂 Granted I live in a cold climate most of the year so that's probably part of it 💕

SO glad you love Tabac Rose! I didn’t think I got the chocolate note either until I sniffed my arm to death (literally…..lol), and then I found it! It is my favorite in the BDK house to date, but i do love the other 4 I have. Totally agree their offerings have not disappointed me to date! Glad to hear your take on Wet Cherry Liquor. I’m interested on getting my nose on frags from this house. How do you feel it compares to Cherry Punk? I do enjoy both a liquor and leather note……so I wasn’t sure which way to go! I also love Ani! It took me a second to “adjust” to this take on vanilla, but SO happy to have it! I have definitely enjoyed discovering this house as well!

Hey gorgeous! I adore Wet Cherry Liquor! It’s interesting about cherry fragrances smelling so similar to each other. I always think they do, but once I spray them side by side I can really tell how different they are. 🍒🍒

i agree with you on these perfumes anything with vetiver and giacwood is masculine. I recently got a new bottle for spring and i think you may like it. its a female scent but it is not sweet at all. I have wanted to try Vani Charnel from Epico. Fire at Will is so boring and its good but it doesnt last or project on me at all. for the price its a super no and yes i also want to try Vaniglia i have a sample of Disumano Morph coming today think a good vanilla caramel coconut gourmand for warmer weather i cant wait! I Just got a bottle of Blousy from Miller Harris, It sounds like something you would like. its a female scent but isnt sweet. it has strawberry divana booze and cinnamon! but fresh for spring i think you should check it out!

Hello Jackie, these sample testing videos are always so interesting. I love Ani and Plum in Cognac too. I also like Sintra😅 but that neroli doesn't bother me the way it does for you. I got compliments while wearing it. You have peaked my interest on Vaniglia but I don't think it is easy to find here. Some people think the alcohol note in the Wet Cherry smells like paint thinner or lacker and I wonder how it would come off to my nose. Worth a test if I come across it. Thanks for your video! I want Tabac Rose as well. I had the exact same thing with Fire at Will and Vani Charnel. Emy from Emy's world of fragrance said it as well: just very plain vanillas, not worth spending that much money on. I find them to be kind of in the same category as the vanillas from Comptoir Sud Pacifique which is a much cheaper brand. I have Vaniglia as well, and I was a little underwhelmed at first, but loved it later on. If you are looking for some basic but delicious vanillas for a great price, I recommend Maison Tahité. I have two: Vanexstasy and Vanilla2. Vicious Cacao is also a great offering.

I also fell in love with Plum in Cognac. There is a great dupe by Genre Parfums called “Plum Dumb”. That has held me over until I can invest in a bottle. 🤗

I too just got Ani from my royalty scents subscription this month! First thought was it reminded me of Dior Addict. I had Dior Addict before and sold it, it was just too overwhelming and too much on me. As I smell Ani on paper I love the dry down. Have yet to give it a full wear but I hope it doesn’t come off the same as addict.

I LOVE Tabac Rose!! It’s beautiful and I do get the chocolate. It’s a perfect fragrance tbh. I have a decant of Ani from Royalty Scents and I’m very unsure about it. I just don’t quite understand it. It pulls very citrusy and spicy on my skin and it almost smells like fruit loops lol. It’s quite odd.

For a beautiful tobacco fragrance, check out Les Indemodables Vanille Havane. Love the dried fruit notes in there.

I got a decant of tabac rose and it’s good and I almost really like it but it’s quite tart in a way that is a bit off putting. It’s definitely a winter/fall fragrance (and it’s still wintery where I live so Ive been wearing it).

I felt exactly the same way about Epico Vanni, I had such high hopes, and it was just a huge disappointment. Thank God I got a Decant before jumping into a full bottle.

I haven’t smelled secret tryst but I’ve tried ani and I think that one smells like bug spray!! I wish I didn’t because it’s sooo beautiful, i get more vanilla in the dry down. Gypsy water is my replacement for that aromatic vanilla fragrance, I’ve been trying dupes lately so I can find one with better performance

Real jasmin plant smells better than jasmin in a perfume to my nose. Your take on the Veronique Gabai has me intrigued 😃 I've been looking at her fragrances for a while.

Tabac Rose is even better when layered with a chocolate fragrance. Its a BEAST too.

Epico has been a disappointment to me as well! I thouht it was going to be an absolute love, can't live without it type of fragrance, and it isn't. At least not yet- I have worn it maybe 3 times and I think I have liked it a little more each time. It could possibly grow on me but the disappointment when I finally got my nose on it was real

P.S. Can you help me understand what in the heck is a "jammy" rose? 😆 I must be too new to the game to understand that.

I really struggled with Tabac Rose... it smelled like Big Mac sauce to me 😂

Fire at will smells very basic to me. It’s like something I could buy from bath and body works for a small fraction of the price. Nothing special or unique about it to my nose.

Secret Tryst is horrible, overhyped, overpriced and doesn't last on the skin more than an hour. The sister fragrance Cavort is overpriced, overhyped, doesn't last...but it smells terrific. Fragrance du Bois needs to work on their lasting power properties, especially on Santal Complet. The only three I have and I love and lasts are Minuit Et Demi, Oud Violet Intense and Oud Jaune Intense.

I don't like Ani at all. Its too spicy and pungent and green.

I really want Plum in Cognac 🥹🥰❤️
