That being said i think if Bayern plays on a level they recently did they will probably win. @@sumzk Actually Pep sometimes used this formation while he was at bayern. The width could be provided by both the widest players in the 2nd & 3rd layers of the formation. Depends on the instruction of the coach. Interesting formation indeed.

I noticed more of a 3-4-2-1 on the ball and a 4-4-2 or a 4-1-2-1-2 off the ball. But mostly in the second half. The wingers made overlapping runs while sabitzer was given more of a dynamic role. Also their pressing was on point. Clearly won the midfield battle.
