It’s a very nice tone, hahah but idk everyone always gets so hype about tones! Like literally that’s what my axe ultras 5150 sounds like with cut bass and boosted mods and treble, tad boost of presence and bit of a cut for the depth! Give that a try and you’ll get that thicccc and joosy tone, oh fck yeah put the gain at 3/10!!!

It's not as hard as you think it is. It's a tapping section that starts on the high e going to the a with a consistent 23 tap then 15 18 pull off then when it goes to the d string 23 tap then 15-16 pull off that repeats on the a. It's layered with a 22 tap 14-17 pull of and once again 14-15 pull of on the d repeating on the a

great cover bro, threw a like at it. it says in the description you use 10-62 on a 6 string? Do you throw out the 52 or something? It seems like an issue to get decent strings for drop tuning that actually have evenly spaced tension. Also would love to see a video showing your patch and post-editing.

Dilpil01 Thanks man! Yeah I bought a 7 string pack of ernie ball cobalts and just used the 62 on the low G. Saved the 52 for a rainy day. Probably not ideal as far as even tension is concerned but it’s only temporary so I’m not fussed :)

Start with ( tab wise) a chord that looks like this in standard tuning. 357xxx and you can move that chord around up and down and then down to the a string, play around with using your pinky on different frets and mess around in different spots with the open b and e strings! I always do that to warm up, anything with those things I just said give that spacious feel. Obviously anything can stem from playing around with that!

I know you didnt ask me, but what i’ve learned from a lot of periphery’s riffs is you’ve got to make use of your open strings. There are some chords in mile zero where if you arpeggiate the chords it literally sounds like a melody on their own. The notes are actually super close together, it’s just that you’re playing them in multiple octaves. So i guess the TL;DR is octaves lol.

I’d say take a look at mile zero by periphery. Even the first few riffs in that song have some really cool chord textures. I’m pretty sure it was written by mrak too so that explains a lot, haha

Oscar Leon G-G-C-F-A-D. Basically just drop C except the low C string is tuned down to G :)
