SCARLET // LYRICS
So many reasons why one should never entertain the taste of the red
A cry for a life of innocence is key to her head
Keep running back to kill because it might make it easier
A fear that keeps you chained down to the ritual adhere
You're a slave born into a dark world of disease
A slave that's longing for a rich way
Learning to love a disaster
Direct your soul in the essence of light
To draw the blood of the master
Flee
The stains on your wings now carry the fray
Tell that she
Embraced the glory vengeance brings
Hold, curl in tight
Illuminate the light
Punish me, punish me
An eye for an eye, an eye for the wicked
Just the sight of me
Your cold intention, burn intuitions
But with a smile on his face
Exist like you can last within this wretched place
So please forgive what I've become
Learning to love a disaster
Direct your soul in the essence of light
To draw the blood of the master
Flee
The stains on your wings now carry the
Coldest zeal
Extracted from the omen's life
One steady hand in victory
Darkness weeps
As love informs under a pure and present night
Point from the eye, endure the way
So many reasons why one should never entertain the taste of scarlet
Scarlet
So many reasons why one should never entertain the taste of the red
A cry for a life of innocence is key to
Learning to love a disaster
Direct your soul in the essence of light
To draw the blood of the master
Flee
The stains on your wings now carry the fray

Basically ketchup and mustard both symbolizes two opposing ideas in the real world, and in our society you always have people trying to impose their ideas upon others. Shoving their ideas down each other's throat, casting suffering to each other and in the end both sides end up hurt. No matter which side you’re on you have your own ideals and beliefs but this in this world ideas often clashes whether you like it or not . Even if you try to escape they can come to you and you have to face it head to head. And finally after all the hurt, humanity never learn from its mistakes. That's basically what it's all about.

Hansol Here's my take. They act like they have the same interests and are peaceful with the other guy and only want to be friendly, but then as time goes on they show they have total control over him and only care about getting what they want (the food). And they put him through suffering to get it. But once he realizes this, he stands up for himself and actually has more power than them. So when translated to the real world, it's showing that corporations act like they're just trying to get along and make people happy but in realty they have total control and make our lives harder than they have to be because their only concern is money. But if people just realized this and stood up for themselves we could stop them.

It is so ADDICTING to listen to OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!

There is not one song that I do not like from this band but some songs that they are well known for are Ragnarok, Icarus Lives!, Jetpack was Yes!, Buttersnips, Zyglorox, Make Total Destroy, and Luck as a Constant. The Summer Jam: Jake and Parade of Ashes are two of my favorite songs of the EP they just came out this past January. Pale Aura is off this same EP too and I agree it is also awesome! This band started in 2005 and has 2 albums and a EP that I am aware of and are from Bethesda, MD and have read that they are the pioneers of this new music genre called DJENT which I don't know what classifies DJENT exactly but that's according to Wikipedia haha. Have fun listening to them. Easily the best or one of the best new bands in my music listening collection that I have listened to this year. P.S. sorry for the long ass message, I am just really passionate about my music man!

bguth12 I think Djent is just downtuned guitars? I dunno lol, everyone has been calling the new whitechapel album djent so I guess that makes sense, these guys don't sound anything like whitechapel though haha. Thanks man, im really getting into these guys, gotta check out their whole discography! I know they have an album coming out later in the summer right? I am super passionate about music as well man ;)

GetScaredGaming If you want an example of Djent, look up Insomnia by Periphery. It's a high gain palm muted guitar sound, though people call it a genre because of all the music that's come out with that sound as a base. Check out Racecar by Periphery. A long song, but well worth the listen. A few other good bands that have some proggy goodness that you should check out if you haven't already, I'll also give a song suggestion in brackets: Animals As Leaders - (Physical Education) Intervals - (Moment Marauder) TesseracT - (Nocturne) The Contortionist - (Flourish) Dream Theatre - (On the Backs of Angels) Twelve Foot Ninja - (Mother Sky) Not really prog but hnnngg Monuments - (97% Static) David Maxim Micic - Just check out his whole BILO 3.0 Born Of Osiris - (Follow The Signs) Meshuggah - (Bleed) Cyclamen - (Haja-Kenshou) Circle Of Contempt - (Entwine The Threads) Ne Obliviscaris - (As Plague Flowers The Kaleidoscope) Not prog but good Hope you find something you like, I hope you don't know all these bands already haha!

Scarlett, the best song , energy pumped and emotionally soul feeding. Love it, In loving memory of my soulmate who is lost in this cold world. I know you are out there somewhere Brenda, you should have told me that you were in trouble, now there is nothing I can do but pray you'll wake up from this nightmare . And to the coward who has done this, I will have my vengence in this life or the next.

When music stops being fun and becoming work it isn't real. be happy bands are still enjoying the life and making fun videos. They are all more talented then you keyboard warriors who play simple power chords all day. These men are all far more advanced than most musicians today. You don't like it? Your loss

I don't know what the symbolism of this video is or if there is any at all! And the video might not be the most awesome video ever but I am happy that Periphery went against every other band and maybe their labels that wanted them to make a serious videoclip. These guys probably had very much fun on the filming of their video and they didn't care what others would say!! THIS is real progressive... Congratulations Periphery :D

I think it's about tasting violence and becoming addicted to it. They leave each other alone and pick on the red guy. When they consume all that they have, they turn on each other. "So many reasons why one should never entertain the taste of the red" Never even start down the path of violence.
