I love this conversation. My husband started PD spring 2020. He is a UCLA patient. UCLA has provided us the BEST medical care. We are still learning. Just found this UCLAMDChat.

I would have liked to hear what the expected side effects and unexpected side effects that a PD patient might experience.

I have 6 siblings on dialysis 2 aunts an uncle my mother in law 2 did PD

I did hemo dialysis

I Don't know why.. in my country PD are not available for patient

all the cons of doing manual pd is not mentioned at all here. this video doesnt present the full content of doing pd so it's not a good presentation to learn about manual pd.

I would never go on dialysis. Not the quality of life I want... hooked to a machine for 3-5 hours 3x week for the rest of your life. No thanks.
