@leagueftw6778 Frostbite got nerfed and the free dodge as well. Lightning swarmblade got an overall Buff. I'd play that this cycle

An avenue could be getting some crit chance%, but that's questionable in how much that'd make a difference. Then there's the option to lose some atkspeed/freeze rate/bleed chance on serpent strike and take Sapping Coils instead, which gives you 4rage/s, and you'll have 0 problems. (I use this before rageborn to respec early into swarmbug)

You can get started for sure, but it really shines with LP

i find strength stacking to be surperior in alot of ways

the only problem to solve is the Mana. If you can solve that, go for it!

Just an update after a bit of testing and seeing Bina's comment to an earlier thread, it seems Frostbringer is changing Storm Bolts graphic to a small ice explosion under enemies rather than the expected lightning bolts. Hopefully EHG changes the graphics in the future because it certainly isn't noticeable and plenty of people think the node is bricking storm bolts.

Something odd must be happening cause I def am getting those procs from tornado. I know there's weird bugs where sometimes talents work for some people and not for others. Was happening a lot w/ certain falconer talents.

@@EScott410 Hmm interesting did you change your gathering storm damage over to cold damage? That I think is the trigger for this bug... if I back out that change it procs when I put it back it stops proc'ing

@@BinaQc yes I see the sudden bolt icicles created by the tornadoes, but I’m not seeing them being created from 6+ stacks of maelstrom. I tried only spinning up 6-9 maelstrom stacks and nothing else, and with both target dummies and in echos I’m not seeing the sudden bolt icicles or their damage at all. edit: looks like it was a temporary bug last night, see followup comment.

Ok I just logged in and did the same test but now it works just fine... so something I did last night definitely caused it to stop working. Maybe from playing in a group? I did DC once last night. At any rate I guess it's a false alarm, though I'll have to pay attention because rage generation is noticeably different without the maelstrom sudden bolt crits helping out while mapping.

well this build should be able to do 400 corruption easily

biting winds is cool if you got points for it. I would only spec it if i got more than 20 points. Our main dmg is storm bolts and they are converted to cold dmg by the frostbringer node in gathering storm

he said hes focusing more on perma freeze, you can take points out of cold fang and take it if you want, but like he said, if something is perma frozen it doesnt matter how much dmg or EHP you have, its perma frozen. Try to experiment, if it reduces boss kill time enough to justify then take it, if it still allows you to perma freeze then take it, if you find gear with bonus points take it, nothing is be all end all

@@brettrobbins2707 ok got it. Thank you. But what is better? Points in more Bleed/Poison with Gouging Spear/Swirling Carnage or Points on Biting Winds? I'm not sure. More Stacks on Frostbite I guess? Therefore Gouging+Swirling.

@@knobbygaming7612 Is that a general mechanic with conversion ? Because the tooltip doesnt say anything about converting pen. And i dont think lightning pen on your gear helps, does it? I tried allocating the nodes and checking the storm bolt tooltip damage and it did change, but by 1% per point which i think was due to some +spell lightning damage on my gear. If it does convert the lightning pen to cold its extremely counterintuitive.

you must read the nodes description. It is converted to cold pen. It's on a case by case basis

@@rpgambit It is specifically in the thunderous strikes info panel when you hold alt and hover over it. It states "If gathering storm is converted to physical or cold then this grants physical or cold penetration" some skills convert like that and some dont. Always check the "More information" section of a skill for additional information like that because it doesnt apply to all conversions when changing elements.

poison is stronger since it applies to everything in swarmblade form

I'm having this issue too, been checking in to see an answer. I've seen a cpl ppl post in game that their storm bolts and churning orbs don't proc.

Content gets difficult. Monolith scales with corruption, Arena gets rough real fast. More EHP is always welcomed

Yeah the bug is kinda bad fore leveling woud not recomend. I did level with it but it was a lot of blood sweet and tears ngl. After like level 50 it gets better after you got all the skills unlockt and some crit for the rage sustain. If you die a lot you can put on the bleeding heart unicue if you have it.

There are filler points. For Swarmblade, take out the "Feverous Stings" points and I would do 1 out of "Chitin Sleet Storm" as well. For Tornado, I would do 1 point out of "Lasting Storm" and 3 more out of "Trail of Storms." Good luck! Fun build!

not worth it. the build planner doesn't actually show the most optimized build. the actual best weapon is hazzle root+Blade of wounds. You can become more tanky in this build because Hazzleroot has a passive where every time you melee, you cast thornshield. In reality, you can get max armor, max dodge, capped resistances and stack health. Hazzleroot also gives 1 spell physical damage per 3 attunement which buffs tornado. Strangely enough, maelstorm is not worth the skill-slot. It is better to run spaggan which has some nodes that make it so you only cast thorn shield on yourself. Swarmblade druid might be one of the most durable classes in the game as far as melee goes. 3000+ hp, capped res, armor and dodge is really nice.

Hazleroot is inconsistent at best. You would also scale it differently. Theoretically, you can reach armor "cap", but in reality it pretty much never happens. You'd also need a max rolled Hazleroot for that, and with LP. Overall, much harder to gear, inconsistent, and much lower DPS.

@@BinaQc Nope, you build same way. A 3 LP Hazzleroot is not uncommon. probably possible to buy from merchant guild. slam attackspeed/bleed chance/poison chance or cold damage. I'd say hard part would be getting huming bee with same rolls as your bleed/poison/melee attackspeed katana if you want ward gen. it might not be worth it because your losing a lot of offence for defence. Honestly, your defence is already kinda good.

If you use Hazelroot, you can't spec Serpent Strike as Cold, which means less freeze rate, less dodge, and less damage. Hazelroot also has lower base attack speed. I've played with Hazelroot quite a bit, and it is not the way. The armor is really inconsistent. The spell damage is irrelevant because we want Frostbite chance and damage. The most synergistic way to build it would likely be Physical Storm Bolts, which is so much less DPS. This is from my experience, as if it was good, I would use the 4LP Hazelroot sitting in my stash.

Much stronger. Lightning swarmblade is better for early game then with good gear you can swap to this.

dont attack like a madman. just hit enemy a few time wait until they are like half health and then the dot will kill them. you get used to it. Also you need the points in rageborn.

@@Comuniou956build has like 10-15% crit, kinda impossible to sustain this build unless you hit rares/bosses, so in monos without rares you gonna rage starve

@@cgentle19 in the build guide, go to the gear section where you see all the gear and click on the anywhere on this window but not on an item (like beside the helmet as example), it will open the planner.

the starting gear uses 1 unique - 1 you get for free in campain aswell - idk - seems kinda duable to me - even without full stash with items XD just take a look in the written guide

Its playable with bad gear, or course it will be less powerful. Still playable and can do the content.

They are not, double check! Make sure you aren't testing against a dummy that isn't considered am enemy

@@BinaQc There is def something going on for multiple people with getting storm bolts to show on Tornado and Maelstrom. In game chat a few times I've seen, it's in a cpl comments in here, it's in forums. I've had this issue too. Verified game files, took off all gear and idols. Despec'd Maelstrom/Tornado/GS. Come to find that whether in Swarmform or Druid, Tornados will cast Lightning Bolt only when GS is not spec'd, OR when GS is spec'd, but the node Frostbringer (changes dmg to cold) is not spec'd. Unspec Frostbringer node, and LB shows up. This is on dummies AND enemies. What has been 2 days of deep digging and utter confusion is- in your build and video you have taken the node Frostbringer, yet your LB will show/proc. When one has followed your MR build to the T, point by point in all ways, how are some of us following the build not having LB proc? (OR, not having it proc unless they take off the Frostbringer node?) Trying to figure it out as the build seems great, and maybe several of us could benefit from some knowledge on this issue. TY! :)

​@@BinaQc I'm having the exact same issue. If I spec into Frostbringer, all the storm bolts are gone. As soon as I remove the point, they're back.

​@@KS-ml8th just to clarify, is the bug just visual? I.e. it doesn't show the storm bolts (you said lightning bolt but did you mean storm bolts?) But the damage still happens? I've been running this build since the game dropped and I've noticed what looks like invisible damage being done to people within a certain range when I have tornadoes. Would that explain it? Hoping I haven't been missing out on damage this whole time!

I think visually it is changed into a ice spike from the floor, at least that's what using gathering storm directly shows
