Permaculture is an ecological design process. By observing and mimicking nature, permaculture provides solutions to food insecurity, desertification, and climate change; it helps us address some of the most pressing environmental and social challenges we face. The observations that inspire permaculture designs can come from the most unlikely of places, including from our urban companion, the squirrel.
Graham's insightful talk demonstrates that sustainability is only the first rung on the ladder to abundance.

Graham Calder’s formative years on a farm instilled in him a lasting devotion to ecological preservation. Dissatisfied with mainstream environmentalism, Calder gravitated towards the holistic approaches of permaculture, and the broad spectrum of solutions it proposes.
Calder received a Bachelor’s of Geography and Ecology from Concordia University and completed his Permaculture Design Certification (PDC) at Pacific Permaculture. Later that year he apprenticed under Geoff Lawton at the Permaculture Research Institute of Australia, where he completed certifications in Earthworks and Permaculture Teaching.
In 2009, he founded P3 Permaculture: a social enterprise seeking to make permaculture accessible by providing courses and design consultation in Canada and the world.

Would love to know where exactly this Moroccan food forest exists, as Morocco is full of fertile lands, but they are being miss used in order to reach consumption demands, and even our organic products are shifting due to the use of chemical substances. I hope that permaculture could save this crisis and help the people that are really in need by facilitating the task and producing yes smaller quantities, but better quality. Best of luck!

I like to see the speaker's slides where he actually dirties his hands and planting seeds and trees. Too many people talk about sustainability when their mind and spirit are not sustained at the very basic level.

He gives an outline of what permaculture design is. Its a sustainable science applied to human habitation. I think that if you've never heard of the concept this might be a nice introduction.

You can not outrightly teach a mind set. permaculture is not learning a new set of skills.

this whole speech in its entirety is a total non sequitur and tries to disguise itself with vagueness in order to dodge any objections.

Who cares about the stomach. Worry about your empty brain. Stop looking at the phisical characteristics and focus on the visible qualities.
