Even if killing a person is halakhically justified, another's life does not belong to us, so it is still theft, under any circumstance.

+James Davis * Well if you want to get technical about it, if someone's coming at you to kill you and you don't defend yourself because you might kill him thereby committing theft, then didn't you commit suicide by not fighting back and allowing him to kill you. What's the bigger sin theft or suicide?

Both are crimes against G-d and we will pay one way or the other. If someone kills you they are a murderer. Suicide is killing oneself. Murder is a crime against every living thing.

+Donna Annod I'm sorry if I offended you, whether we pay for anything or not is up to Ha'shem. My grandfather, and father are combat veterans. G-d forbids us to kill because it damages the soul. My grandfather fought in WWII, and had nightmares the rest of his life. At times he saw the dead before him. I only wish to prevent this for others.
