What does this actually mean for us? It means that we can now do much better research using Perplexity API.
The Perplexity API is (at the moment at least) the easiest way to give your scripts the ability to search the internet.
Let me give you an example in this video
We want to write an article about the best business grants in the United States for small businesses in 2024.
We cannot trust ChatGPT or Claude alone to understand the nuances for each grant, and both models will generally make things up in order to fill the gaps.
This is where Perplexity comes in.

In this example we're going to make some content about American small business grants, which is a notoriously difficult topic for most LLMs or AI writers to target, but with Perplexity Llama 3 coming out - it has just become even easier.
