From Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the NBC series revolving around Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), a New York City Police Department (NYPD) detective in Brooklyn's fictional 99th Precinct, who often comes into conflict with his commanding officer, the serious and stern Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). The series also stars Terry Crews as Sargeant Terry Jeffords, Melissa Fumero as Amy Santiago, Stephanie Beatriz as Rosa Diaz, Chelsea Peretti as Gina Linetti and Joe Lo Truglio as Charles Boyle.

Saskatoon Police Service in Canada did a parody of it as the premise of a lip sync video a few years ago. They were not challenged nor did they challenge any other agencies. A couple of the officers saw some of the videos that agencies around the US were doing and decided they wanted to give it a try and approached their chain of command who agreed.

lmao never knew he tried to recreate it that makes it even better. Reminds me of back in the day I'd get into these insane situations, then constantly try to recreate them and it just cannot be done. People would always fight me on it and it just couldn't happen again like the original.

Ah, the iconic cold opening that everyone basically knows by heart and is impossible not to sing along to. Awesome!😊❤ I love that it got referenced in the last episode because it’s too incredible not to mention it.😉🩷
