Now Ed what made you write a Song about Z for P. Genius but glad Perrie made the necessary tweaks, so yes keeps core elements, but round it off, so not just so blatant in the storytelling.

Couldn't that be the scenario that Ed wrote this song based on his life or anyone in his close circle n he thought Perrie's voice would be perfect to brighten up the song, songwriters have this thing. N when the song was delivered to her, it instantly made sense to how her life had been, so changing bits made this more relevant

Like Perrie deserves to write what she wants. I know Ed Sheeran pens a lot of songs but I think it’s great that it sounds so Perrie, not like an Ed Sheeran imitation if you know what I mean. I think it’s amazing that Perrie’s bringing her own identity and that she was part of the writing process as I think it adds to how personable it is for her

What I would like to believe is that maybe he came around the idea, that song follows, like what if, no matter how times were in the past, we had been a part of each other's life that really made who we're today so i really don't want you to forget about 'us'; definitely cause not always the first love is the last. N he wrote these beautiful lyrics. That's how a writer's mind works....
