کمال حسن کجا، دیده پر آب کجا؟
شکوه بحر کجا، خیمه حباب کجا؟
مرا که جلوه هر ذره است رطل گران
کجاست حوصله جام آفتاب، کجا؟
نمانده است ز دل جز غبار افسوسی
به این خرابه فتد نور ماهتاب کجا؟
گذشته است ترا ز آفتاب پایه حسن
هلال عید شود با تو همرکاب کجا؟
مرا که نعره مستانه بی قرار نکرد
رسد به داد دلم نغمه رباب کجا؟
گرفتم این که رسد نوبت سؤال به من
دماغ حرف کجا، قدرت جواب کجا؟
ز بس که گرم تماشای گلرخان گشتم
نیافتم که کجا شد دل من آب کجا
ز برگ، نکهت گل بیش می شود رسوا
ترا نهفته کند پرده حجاب کجا؟
میان سوخته و خام فرق بسیارست
سرشک تاک کجا، گریه کباب کجا؟
گرفته است جهان را غبار بی دردی
کجا رویم ازین عالم خراب، کجا؟
چنین که آب برآورده است خانه چشم
بساط خود فکند پرده های خواب کجا؟
فروغ حسن جهانگیر او کجاست که نیست؟
ز خویش می روی ای دل به این شتاب کجا؟
نظر به چشمه حیوان نمی کنم صائب
مرا ز راه برد جلوه سراب کجا؟
Where is the integrity of beauty, where is the tearful sight?
Where is the glory of sea, where is the tent of bubble?
Me, who is the manifestation of every particle, is precious
Where is the patience of beaker of the sun? where?
There is nothing left in the heart but the dust of sorrow
Where did the moonlight fall on this ruin?
Your foundation of beauty surpasses that of the sun
Where is the crescent of Eid with you?
For the spell of echo did not disturb me
As the melody of Rubab reaches the agony of my heart
I understood that it was my turn to be asked
Where is the brain of word, where is the power to answer?
As I was passionately busy looking for beauty
I did not find my heart where it belonged
From the leaf, the scent of the flower becomes apparent
Where is the curtain of veil that disappears you?
There is a big difference between burnt and raw
Where is the grape vine residue, where is the cry of barbecue?
The world has been covered by the dust of heartlessness

Saib Tabrizi (Persian: صائب تبریزی‎, Ṣāʾib Tabrīzī, میرزا محمّدعلی صائب تبریزی, Mīrzā Muḥammad ʿalī Ṣāʾib, Azerbaijani: صائب تبریزی), was a Persian poet and one of the greatest masters of a form of classical Arabic and Persian lyric poetry characterized by rhymed couplets, known as the ghazal. Besides writing in Persian, Saib was known to have written 17 ghazals and molammaʿs in Azerbaijani Turkic.
Saib was born in Tabriz, and educated in Isfahan and in about 1626 he traveled to India, where he was received into the court of Shah Jahan. He stayed for a time in Kabul and in Kashmir, returning home after several years abroad. After his return, the emperor of Persia, Shah Abbas II, bestowed upon him the title King of Poets. Saib's reputation is based primarily on some 300,000 couplets, including his epic poem Qandahār-nāma (“The Campaign Against Qandahār”). (The city of Qandahār or Kandahar in today's Afghanistan was in Saib Tabrizi's lifetime a long-standing bone of contention between the Mughal rulers of India and the Safavid rulers of Persia - both of whom were at different times the poet's patrons - until definitely given over to Persian rule as a result of the Mughal-Safavid War of 1649-53.) Saib Tabrizi's “Indian style” verses reveal an elegant wit, a gift for the aphorism and the proverb, and a keen appreciation of philosophical and intellectual exercise. Saib was especially well known for his Persian panegyric poetry during the reigns of Persian Emperors Safi, Abbas II and Suleiman.
