Because the main character (the jew) doesn’t actually know farsi. he’s just pretending to speak farsi so he could survive

Point is Germans considered Iranians as linked "Aryans". But it's a ridiculous film. Nazis were very familiar with Iranian culture and such a scenario wouldn't have happened.

A flawed film depicting a story in which essentially an innocent Persian prisoner of war who was fighting as part of the RAF has his throat slit during his sleep in a German prison camp. This was done to to continue the life and lies of one Jewish man (pretending to be Persian) whilst thousands of other innocent Jewish men and women are continuously executed during the story. The innocent Persians life ended without any sentiment but as long as it warms an audience members heart to see a Nazi being made to look a fool then it's fair game. If only someone made a film of that Persian who somehow overcame the British colonial damage to his country of origin, went to war with the RAF, was captured over France and murdered in his sleep by an Italian person of Jewish faith that happened to value the Persians life less than his Brother. The majority of those who die in this film are nameless but their murders form long hanuting shots of bodies falling to the ground or being carried in wagons. Very sad and devestating scenes. The Persian who put himself on the front line was murdered by the very people his actions were meant to save. No point though getting sentimental about him. Persians/Iranians are used to this racist depiction in such 'package' of films. Let's move on then, roll on the awards.

Persians in Germany thrived. They are also considered aryans by the Germans

@@ethnicgerman5275 I hope the two countries re-establish their very well tried and tested cooperation. Germans played a big role in Iran from the 1920s to the 1940s. Their influence and thousands of German technicians in Iran were driven out by British and Russians. Iran very much benefitted back then from that relationship.
