Lately I always wonder what goes through an animal's head when a human randomly does something nice for them.

Imagine you’ve just established a small house and suddenly a fucking giant descends upon your home but instead of smashing it he just hands you a large mcfries

What’s funny is her mate will feed her. So you’re basically now her mate.

imagine someone pops off the top of your bedroom and lowers a sandwich to you with a massive pair of tongs

She’s looking at the end like, “I’m sorry, but I’m new at this whole parenting thing. Could you help me raise them?”

When she starts making those noises at the end she sounds so happy. Like she understands she hit the jackpot with her choice to nest there.

She's like "They laughed at me when I chose this nest."

Husband: Why are you full I just captured this worm! Her: A titan fed me.

Crazy how she actually left the "nest" to store the chicken while the person was standing right next to her eggs

She seems so calm despite a human being so close to her nest. They must have formed a bond. At that one point at the end she looks like, “Can I have more please?”

The feathers around her eyes look like girly little cartoon eyelashes, it’s so precious.

She was very polite when taking the food, not going crazy when she took it.

I love that she started essentially chirping at you as if thanking you. Then she's like 'I'll just save this for later' then looks at you like 'Will this be a regular thing? I can live with that"

The other hawk comes back from hunting* -Are you cheating on me? Who fed you !

She didn’t even build a nest she just went, “this pot looks good”

bird: "If you want to film the hatchings, I want filet mignon for a month. Non negotiable."

The way she looks at the person who feeds her says it all💜

Momma Hawk: "So wait...This maternity ward has a view AND room service?!"

I have been feeding wild hawks for 5 years, limit eye contact, give her a big piece, add some straw, put some privacy material inside so they have peace. Don’t make them friendly to humans. Humans are dangerous to them. What you are doing is very nice. Thanks

Just don’t feed her everyday, then she will no longer hunt and her kids won’t learn how to be self sustainable and hunt for themselves

She seems confused why she is receiving so much food without having to do anything.

Animals who nest so close to humans have already staked out the venue and have a good opinion of the dangers involved. The hawk's choice of this woman was no accident. But getting fed in this manner must have been a bonus. The bird feels grateful, of course. Clearly, a good thing is done. The only question that remains is "is it a trap" but things are looking better as time goes on. The chicks, by the time they are themselves laying eggs, will have lost a small part of their inherited aversion to humans. This particular hawk may also have been a chick that hatched in close proximity to humans. There will be no rodent problem in the area let me tell you.

Whoever this person is, God will bless this person for taking care of his creation. And especially so at the most delicate moment of the mother's life. Though she may not be able to talk, her eyes says it all. Thank you.

That is actually a Peregrine falcon. They nest up high on taller buildings in cities. They are naturally found nesting on tall cliffs but have adapted very well to city life. Many major US cities have a Peregrine program and numbers are increasing. Peregrine falcons were almost extinct due to PCB pollution in the 60s and 70s. It makes their egg shells very weak so no eggs would hatch and population almost became extinct. Thanks to falconers, environmental groups, and hobbyists, the Peregrine falcon was kept alive and population numbers shot back up and are now found throughout the USA.

Imagine: You’re in the hospital room where you just gave birth to your baby. It is sleeping soundly a few feet away in its hospital crib. The door creeks open and you expect to a see a nurse, but a large bear walks in slowly. You both stare at each other for a moment before the bear walks over to your bed, gently places a burger on the blankets, then retreats.
