@@nijuareverso5212 Spoiler for the P3 ending and the 2nd part of P3FES MC sacrifices himself to seal Nyx and avoid the fall. In The Answer, S.E.E.S. get to see (haha joke) what happened. MC used his life essence to protect Nyx for awakening by turning into a seal with the form of a door, since there is a monster born from the negative thoughts of the people in the world called Erebus. If the seal is broken, Nyx would answer to those thoughts and bring the fall, effectively bringing the death of everything.

@@zaqareemalcolm The thing is, most of Eternal Punishments story happened because Tatsuya couldn't accept erasing the memories of his friends. As a result, he is "Eternally Punished" by having all memories of him removed from all of his closest friends, then forced to live in a world completely desolated from Innocent Sin. Even in the games, they say to be forgotten is a fate worse than death. Makoto himself was also willing to sacrifice himself for his friends to, however he will always be remembered for the journey and bonds he forged with his friends, something Tatsuya will never have. Regardless they both have it really bad, worse than all the other protagonists in the series that's for sure

@@bentvk2248 i know, but what ended up happening was due to his actions the IS timeline basically became a parallel world rather than being fully overlayed/replaced by the EP timeline, and that IS and EP Tatsuya basically were separate entities occupying the same body that I really doubt he's actually ends up alone in that situation when he goes back, but he just cannot join the others in the EP timeline since it poses a danger to that as well

Ed well there's also a tiny bit of relief in that. Harem route is mandatory for the male protagonist. Imagine the shitstorm that would happen because of that if he were to live.

My guess is he did it on purpose, he likely deduced Maya’s identity from her conversations shit talking all the 2nd year teachers and the one classroom discussion Ms. Toriumi mentioned she pretty much knows how to talk the way Maya talked in game chat. And wanted her to see it, and speak to her as “Tatsuya and Maya” before he died.
