I never noticed Shinjiro coming down the escalator behind Ken at 0:40 !! Maybe I'm just blind for not seeing it sooner, but it's really sort of interesting and sad to see him in the back as Ken aims a gun as his head.

Imagine if they remade Persona 3 and gave it a fully animated female campaign like the male one got, plus better graphics. Would have been perfect.

in my humble opinion, persona 3 to this date remains as being one of the greatest rpgs of all time. this intro is my favorite of this game, let alone the franchise.

Still the coolest JRPG opening ever. I had no intention of playing through a Persona game 10 years ago when I borrowed my sister's PSP with this game one boring afternoon. When I saw this opening, I was immediately hooked. Ten years later, I've become a full SMT fan and I've even played most Persona games and spinoffs.

I still love this opening a lot. I just loved it more before I realized that half of it was in English.

*spoilers* I was expecting Atlus to pull the rug out from under us and reveal that the car the Protagonist was in had a boy and a girl, and the Female protag is the Male Protag's sister. The timeline splits when one of the two dies in the car crash. The final twist was that "Nyx" was the life force of the other protagonist's timeline happening simultaneously, and that destroying one world would save the other. That way both timelines are canon. Watch the opening again, particularly at 1:16.

i never played Persona 3 and right now i just downloaded it into my PS Vita, i can say this by the intros alone Persona 3 is more morbid and depressing, Persona 4 is more upbeat and down to earth, and Persona 5 is more stylish and cool

I remember playing this for the first time and felt like "Bruh the original is better" And then literally the second time I booted the game up "WRITE ME AN ENDLESS SOOONNGGG" Song's pretty catchy.

I kinda wish more persona games let you play as a girl, i like seeing how things reacted differently becasue you picked a girl, and i like the option of dating more people and seeing another side of them that you couldn't see before, i don't really care if it's canon or not i had a lot of fun playing as the girl and seeing characters i've grown to know and love treat me differently because they fell in love with me / the character, it just made it feel more real and feel like it gave you so many more options/ paths to take ♥ ( but that's just my opinion )

It's absolutely brighter on the FemMC's side somehow.

Amazing how Meguro(?) managed to make the theme consistent throughout the entirety of Hamuko's route soundtrack. I could already hear her basic battle theme, school theme and Danger Zone compiled together. Which is cool.

Burn My Dread is slightly better, but this one is much more melancholic... and I have a soft spot for Shuuhei Kita. So, love both openings.

I just keep watching this opening in 2020, and remembering the good times P3P gave me. A wonderful game, it's my favourite.

I like anime hence games with dark/serious tones/topics. After p4g, p5r and p5s I said, ok, let's start p3p. When this intro kicked I lost it. Literally. The only time I was so positively thrown out of my chair from an anime/game intro was when I started watching AoT or DragonBall Z (decades ago).....

Boys/Girls Is 2020 and this OP Gives me the shivers(in a good way). Truly love Persona 3 to this day.

I just noticed Ken pointing his evoker at his head while Shinji is coming into frame. Always catching something new in these intros.

0:47 *THEORY* MC and FEMC are (Obviously) going to board their trains to get to their school. They pass by each other but don't acknowledge one another because (again obviously) they're strangers. Depending on who you choose at the start is where their train is headed. As for the other, they go somewhere else and never learn about the dark hour.

I’m late to the party and I’ve finally played through the Portable version. So someone mentioned that if you turn your screen upside down you can see the female protagonist perspective. If you turn the screen upside down at 0:41, who is that behind Ken that’s going up the escalators? Edit: It dawned on me that it was Akihiko. It just wasn’t much of him but you can catch that jacket and vest he wears

I'm surprised this doesn't have 1 million views yet, it's utter madness! Both P3Fes and soul phrase are tied. (I don't count burn my dread since I was introduced to it on Fes, it's still great in it's own right but I like the other two best since they were new and different.)

This is my favorite Persona series OPENING so far.

i prefer p3p's opening to those of the previous release's. this opening really captures the dark and mysterious atmosphere of the game.

Persona 3 has to be one of the games most needing a remake. We need a definitive version with 3D environments, full party control, female MC, and the Answer integrated with both protagonists. Throw a few side activities in like fishing and it feels more even to Persona 4 and 5.

By far the hardest enemy in this game is the ps vita itself. Been trying to fix the d-pad for 4 months, but at least I can listen to this game’s godly soundtrack while I’m fiddling with it.
