Yeah these are the signature skills you can't inherit from other personas, they're some of the best looking ones! They've really gotten better with animations. The weaker skills not included in this video are pretty generic looking but that's fine too.

In Persona 3 Portable, Samsara (although "Die for Me" was not) and Pralaya were inheritable. Maralagidyne was obtainable via skill card from Mara. Pralaya was also obtainable via skill card from Shiva. Not anymore in Reload? I haven't had the opportunity to purchase Reload yet.

Obtaining Skill Cards from personas was removed in Reload. When I try to fuse these personas into other ones, they don't allow these skills to be inherited but all other skills are inheritable.

So I think the reason why they made all of the P5 Ultimate Personas as DLCs is to "import" some of the modern skills (such as Blazing Hell, Cosmic Flare, One-Shot Kill, Ice Age, and Wild Thunder) found in P4 and/or 5 into 3. Also nice they threw in Izanagi, Magatsu-Izanagi, Kaguya, and even love for Mara's Maralgidyne.

That's true, but I wish they kept DLC to only signature skills and not regular severe AoE spells. I know that severe AoE spells weren't in other versions of Persona 3 either but it would've been a good opportunity to add new content for free.

Anat, and Astarte had theirs but Vanadis didn't get Masquerade until she evolved into Ella. Mercurius, Seitan Taisei, and Kamu Susano-o didn't have these skills. Instead I think Shiva had Vaccume Wave, Satan had Diamond Dust and Thor had Wild Thunder

That's actually an interesting idea. Alice would of course say "Would you please...die for me?" like in SMT1. Maybe Daisoujou would say something like "Release your earthly attachments!"

Damn masquerade got nerf hard, from severe to medium damage, but now i deal damage to all so i guess that is the compensation.

True but I like single target severe moves better. Most bosses are just 1 enemy, not multiple bosses at once so I don't make much use of AoE spells. Well I suppose Persona 3 is an exception, most Tartarus bosses are multiple enemies.

It's actually hardly nerfed. Base power was lowered to 200 (from 300), but it now is all-target, and still has 30% crit rate

I feel so bad for Astarte, Anat, and Vanadis one-shot kill can easily be replaced with primal force, cosmic flare can be replaced with black viper, and masquerade can be replaced with vorpal blade

You just equip the item Omnipotent Orb, it nullifies all damage for all personas, you get it from defeating the optional superboss.

Did you play Persona 5 Royal? I won't spoil in case you haven't. It introduced a new character in it, its their second-tier persona (Cendrillon, Vanadis, then Ella).

@@bukalayzxSeiten Taisei doesn't learn wild thunder, but can use it if you equip Thunder Charm. Hecate and Kamu Susano-o do learn their respective severe AoEs. It is possible that wild thunder was given to seiten taisei for the sake of parity.

Agreed! I know the severe AoE spells weren't in the original game but they should've just added them to non-DLC personas. I can understand DLC personas having signature skills but not regular severe AoE spells.

When nearly all of these cost an additional thirty dollars on top of an already seventy dollar game that's a remake that wouldn't need a remaster if they didn't shortcut the port to modern consoles. Good game tho.

I feel like Personas belonging to other characters should always be DLC, but half the skills either weren't exclusive, or couldn't even be used by these Personas in their debut game. Cosmic Flare, One-Shot Kill, Diamond Dust, Vacuum Wave, Blazing Hell, and Wild Thunder should be inherent to other Personas as well as being in the DLC ones.

Yeah Atlus's DLC practices are pretty bad. It's a good game definitely but Persona 3 was released so many times. I played the original Persona 3, then Persona 3 FES, then Persona 3 Portable for the alternate protagonist, then Persona 3 Reload. I'm looking forward to SMT V Vengeance too but when they keep remastered recent titles I wonder if I should just hold off of Metaphor.

It's for the pun. The AOE prefix for offensive spells is Ma-, but they add an r to Maragidyne so it doesn't read as Maagidyne. Since that has Mara's name in it and he's already a meme because 'lmao penis', they gave him his own version.

The prefix is Maha- for Japanese skill names usually (this was the case for us westerners until SMT 3 released here. Reason it changed was more so about text limits and it stuck to this day). The pun is much more apparent with this in mind.

The single target magic attacks: Inferno, Thunder Reign, etc. can be inherited now instead of being 1 persona only Also Mitsuru gets Diamond Dust as a buff

All Severe AoE elemental spells are unique to DLC personas. You can get each severe single target elemental spell in the base game though.

Yeah I think they have to search the game files to find out exact damage numbers. Because I've seen different spells with the same description like "Severe" and they'd do significantly different damage. For instance, single target usually does more damage than the same level of spell that hits all targets (in general but there are exceptions).

Im Playing P3P for the first time right now because im one of the casual scrubs which learnend about persona with 5Royal. I Played Royal now the normal 5 and the same goes for 4 and golden. P3R looks so fking amazing compared to P3P. I cant wait to finish P3P so i can throw my money to atlus so i can play P3R.

Yeah if it's your first time going into Persona 3, you should play Reload, it has really amazing quality of life improvements. But it's also as others have said, P3P isn't really the original experience but it can be close to it. I've played the original Persona 3, then FES, then Portable, then this and I'm burnt out now! I played Portable back in the day to play as the female protagonist and it has some really great social links unique to that playthrough. But nothing comes close to the original Persona 3 or FES, it really captures a dreary feeling unique to the early and mid 2000's.

Satanael before, Lucifer after. He's basically another version of Helel. If I recall correctly, there's no Helel in Persona 5 because Satanael was already present.

Yep, it's sad actually. Most of these unique skills are the only way to get Severe level elemental AoE spells. I wish there was new content added that wasn't DLC. The Link episodes are mostly just the social links from the female protagonist in Persona 3 Portable.

Heaven's Blade isn't unique. Sure it can't be inherited but it's possible to get through mutation.

This is true and I was on the fence about including it - Heaven's Blade I thought was unique because it could only be used by archangels (Uriel and Raphiel?). I wonder too if it's possible to get other unique skills through mutations, some mutations are really crazy in this one.

@@BAIGAMING So far I have only got Heaven's Blade and Magic Mastery from skill mutation that's non-inheritable. But then again the game is barely out, there are probably a lot more skills that I am missing.

Nah, they're practically the same, they're just less flashy (I personally prefer it this way, but I understand those who prefer millions of lights at the same time) the most important thing for me is that Atlus no longer makes it look like an earthquake is happening, Fuuka is an excellent cameraman for not shaking the whole screen.
