This may be a stretch, but I wonder if Teddie was also created by Igor to assist the protagonist. If you’re thinking “then why did Teddie not have any memories of such?”, my answer is that Morgana was only given his memories due to the dire circumstances that were not in the Trickster’s favor. In Persona 4, the Investigation Team had everything relatively under control. All Teddie had to do was give them the glasses and guide them for a while. Meanwhile, in Persona 5, The Phantom Thieves were about to be erased from reality, with the Velvet Room being their only safe spot, and since Lavenza nor Igor will leave the Velvet Room, Mona had to lead the Phantom Theives out and guide them properly so they do not get erased. It would be difficult to do so if Mona didn’t know his true purpose and origins.

@@SvanTowerMan one google search will tell you that teddie gained enough of a sense of self and developed his own free will to the point where he could develop a shadow. It doesn’t matter if he was born a shadow. If one has true free will, one can have a shadow.

I was shocked when this happened. I thought the Velvet Room was exclusive to the protags, well, guess that exclusivity is kinda gone now. On the other hand, that fake Igor was on some Nyarlathotep shit. I know Nyx and Izanami was rumored to represent aspects of it but this is the closest thing to Nyarlathotep in recent games. Now I wonder if Philemon is gonna step out in the next game after this..

In Persona Q Shadow of the Labbyrith the teams of P3 and P4 actually get to know the Velvet room and the attendants. The attendants even hang out with them which is pretty awesome. I have not finished the game yet but is pretty cool.

In most persona games the protagonist and his team go to the velvet room but the protagonist is the only one who can use the velvets rooms power in terms of altering personas and powering them up or am I wrong?

@@outermeowven yeah cuz they didn’t make it only the protagonist being allowed. Since P3 they made it only for protagonist/if they had the wild card ability. In P1-P2 the wild card ability wasn’t even a thing yet since everyone in those two games could have multiple personas. While since P3-p5 only protagonist had wild card ability.

theory: everyone suspects that the boy in the persona 5 royal preview was Morgana as a human, could it be possible that in the game there is another velvet room attendant and that is Morgana? He was born in the velvet room, like it would be wise to suspect the other attendants were, I mean... it would make sense

he's something completely different. only thing alike is trying too find his memories. I won't go into spoilers, but Morgana is a party member from the start and is your first guide to the game. Once the character who performs Rise's role is introduced to the story, Morgana gets delegated to a sort of Teddy-like role.

Does it bother anybody else that they call it the velvet room but there is almost nothing near the color of velvet. It seems to be a blue themed room not a velvet themed room

I thought so too at one point, but then I remembered Velvet is a type of fabric, smooth and closely woven. A calm feel and presence that wraps around you in a place between mind and matter, a place where it's guests can go to help them prepare for the coming challenges, that is the Velvet Room... In other words it's meaning and purpose could be similar to the fabric Velvet rather than color. And even then Velvet can be different colors than Red. Blue was likely chosen because it emits a more calm feeling than other colors. But anyhoo, that's my overly long thoughts why the Velvet Room isn't shaded red :3... Apologies

Can you explain why please? Maybe I'm weird as hell but when I think old man, deep as heck voice isn't what I imagine, and this is without the fact I'm more accustomed to elderly Igor. You could argue other worldly being deserves a eerie disturbing voice, but that's laying it on way to thick don't you think? But hey maybe it's not that reason, or if it is there's more to it so please explain

I mean to each their own I guess but considering what the Velvet Room is(aka not just a prison but an ever changing room based on it's guests hearts), a deep voice like that reeeeally doesn't suit it... Then again we're talking about personal tastes rather than which voice is more appropriate overall so there goes most of my argument :/ I guess to end this, to each their own, you like creepy deep voice Igor rather than regular creepy old man Igor that's fine.

Skyle Nexo yeah sory dude the Japanese one is dead so they changed to kinda fit so people don't get weirded out by the voice change so they had the voice being implemented in the story.
