I didn't mind a bank palace, since it was perfect for the phantom thieves' line of work: heists. The music was also decent and the palace didn't really drag on at all until the pass code section. More victory themes (like for bosses, mementos, etc.) would be nice, but the one we got still didn't get old to me. I enjoyed the skit with it in the video, though.

Is it weird that I watched this video just to watch suspect I don't really care about what he is reviewing but as long as he stays as funny as he is (which is a high level) I'll keep watching-this guy deserves way more subs than he has

As one of those like 5 females that watch this, I just use a gamer tag. For instance, my character in Persona 5 is Narga Ryuuji (I had no idea the other character was named Ryuji, for the record). I use "Narga" from Monster Hunter (Nargacuga). It's how I get around the male character naming thing.

As a PCs only player there are so many PlayStation games I'd love to play. This, last of us, uncharted etc...

Okay, next time I play Persona 5, I'm naming the protagonist "Natalie".

Coming in late as fuck but I have a pretty crucial tip to give. Don't level up confidants like fire emblem, focus on 1 or 2 at a time and focus on maxing them out then move on to others. If you try and equally level up each and every one of your confidants then most of them won't be maxed by the end.

When it comes to the infamous persona english/japaneise strangnish, I always imagined that they lived in an alternative world where Japaneise is called english, and vise versa, made it interesting to me.

Y'know which game I'd rather play the most? *Shadow the Hedgehog!* In the game, you can make choices based on which mission you choose. For example: In Westopolis, you can either help Sonic protect the city, or listen to Black Doom and kill the G.U.N. soldiers. If I ever find a copy of the game, I'd play it.

Actually you can change the victory theme. By equipping costumes from previous games, which also changes the battle theme. Bit shitty it's hidden behind the DLC though.

This negotiation system is a godsent compared to the mainline shin megami tensei games, where demon negotiation is COMPLETELY FUCKING RANDOM! There is no strategy demons will respond however they damn well please with zero consistency. Believe me when I say this, this games system IS an overhaul.

Funny thing about the male-only protagonist, it seems to be a running theme for the Persona series to make the main character's official name gender-neutral; Minato/Makoto for Persona 3, Yu for Persona 4, and Akira for Persona 5. Also, the PSP remake of Persona 3 lets you choose a female protagonist.

1:19 I agree. I own all of those games and had very high hopes for all of them And the only ones I put more than a few hours into were Skyrim (100+ hours, never beat) and Far Cry 4 (beat). I wanted to like the others so badly, but I just couldn't get into them. Even Fallout 4 when I loved F3 and F:NV

Sounds like I should get it, though game of the year for me will probably end up being Shadow of War depending on how well it lives up to expectation.

There's the average KZfaq reviewer and then there is Suspect.

If I had to guess I'd say you played this game on normal. If you wanted a good difficulty curve you shoulda gone on hard, this has always been the case for Persona games (which are like SMT-lite. Don't play a mainline SMT game on hard unless you have a death wish).

I’m pretty sure your dialogue choices do have any impact, it’s just not a visible number. There’s a bunch of invisible numbers in the game with leveling up confidants. Like I real life you need to feel the person out and try to understand where there coming from

Whenever you are allowed to name the character I always aim for the stupidest possible name. For example: back in the days of only four characters for names (e.g., FFI) we went with things like SUMP and NECK and STUD and KILL. I think in this game I called the thieves My Lovely Horse. I generally don't care about the gender of the character. If the name makes me giggle every time I see it in the game, that is a win. Please reply with the stupidest game names you have used.

I think you nitpick this a little way too hard to stretch the length of your video. Some of your gripes seemed quite petty to me, but one stood out the most to me, so I'll explain. You take issue with the 'Protagonist death = Gameover' aspect of the combat system. It's a gameplay mechanic that stems from the fact that the main character is supposed to be versatile with the option to switch Personas. You have more tools than the rest of the party, so you should definitely be punished harder for failure. If Joker is a bottleneck in your party, it's time to get introspective and figure out what you're doing wrong and fix it. You have access to a massive arsenal of Personas with differing abilities and resistances, so figure out what you need to do to remedy the problem. A little difficulty and thinking never hurt anyone! (That I know of)

Just wanna point out that the criticism around the 14:00 minute mark about doungeon design is not very fair. It makes perfect sense for the third palace to be a bank as all the palaces are based on buildings that protect something valuable, in keeping with the theme of thievery of the storyline.
