Persona 5 How to get the Strongest Weapons in the Game (Transmutation Guide)

This is a Persona 5 guide on how to get the best weapons in the game through transmutation (or itemization). Life Network Fusion, you can only do Itemization once per day so be careful not to leave it until you're it's too late.
There are a couple with a slightly lower attack than others you can buy, but considering the effects these are probably still the strongest weapons you can find in Persona 5

Welp, I forgot to mention that for the Main Character, there's also a ranged weapon by itemizing Metatron (89/Justice), which needs MAX Confidant with Goro Akechi. Thanks to Sam L for reminding me! Gun is Nataraja (360 Atk 94 Acc 8 Rounds, All Stats +5). It is a slightly worse gun than Tyrant Pistol but the effect will be better depending on the Personas you like to use.

You can also get several "model guns" in Akihabara by giving a special "Moth" gashapon (capsule toy) to a kid standing next to the gashapon stand. Thanks to Franco Dambolena for the tip!

Damn I got confused with Ryuuji's weapon; the attack buff actually applies only to himself. Usually when the passive buff applies to only 1 character, it's called "Attack Master" whereas party-buff passives are "Auto-Mataru". For his weapon, I read "Auto" and thought that it was the party-wide one, but it's actually missing a "ma" in front.

SephiZack Haha, I was about to correct you on the auto-tarukaja part for Ryuji's Ruyi Jingu Bang, but I see you realized the mistake. Regardless, I find it preferable to just go for Ryuji's strongest damage weapon and prep an auto buffer persona to apply all 3 party buffs at the beginning of each battle. Still, great video. I've learned a lot watching these.

When you finish the game you can carry over some of your items to a New Game by loading the completed game's save. That's why it's called New Game +

Ryuji's auto tarukakaja only applies to himself, so do skills like attack/speed/defense master. The auto party buff comes from MC's persona skills such as Auto-Mataru.

I think itemizing Thor would be more useful, Mjolnir gives more damage on electric attacks, I just don't know if it stacks with elec Amp tho.

Best armour for those who didnt know is when you itemize Satan. It gives you 270 defense and High Resistant to Magic Attacks. The Downside is its for Males only.

There are stronger ones in pure Def, compared to how you have set up your Persona, they may be better (the OP near-invincible Yoshitsune set is better paired with the Demon's Jacket+, as the Satan armour lowers what you can heal from your absorbs and Demon's Jacket+ has higher defence to lower damage from Guns and boosts Str, making Yoshitsune even more formidable).

honestly wild hunt seems like a pretty badass weapon i mean inflicting despair is a pretty powerful ability for those who haven't done reaper farming on flu season in p5 being inflicted with despair ain't good its pretty much persona's version of doom status as in 3 turns you automatically die and having a medium chance to inflict that status with a MACHINE GUN!! your holding some awesome in your hand might as well swap that panther mask for a fedora cause thats how its gonna go down

I don't know if this was in another comment but I prefer using Mjolinir from Thor for Ryuji since it acts as Elec Boost to free a skill slot and I always use Auto skills on the MC for buffing

Yeah another guy mentioned it in a comment. I use Ryuuji as a pure physical attacker and only use thunder to exploit weaknesses, so I didn't think about the Elec Boost. It's good to mention it though, as some people might use him in other ways

Jhazat it depends on what you use Ryuji for. I use him as one of my melee attacker next to Makoto and Yusuke as well so the auto tarukakaja is a nice buff. You're right that having MC auto buff also works, but if Ryuji was subbed in in a middle of the fight, he wouldn't get the MC buff and that's when his own buff shines.

Revilleza Lucky Yeah, but doesn't the skill only activate during the start of the battle? I doubt it'll be activated from a sub-in, unless the buff is eternally applied to him.

T'was an old username and I'll change it soon. Ryuji's weapon buff eternally applied to him. The easiest way to check is to highlight him after you sub him in, and you'll see his ATK stat would have an arrow up during his first turn after being subbed in.

You can get model guns if you trade mothman figures from the capsule machines to the guy right of the machines. They're super rare but I find it more convenient than waiting for shady to resupply.

For Ryuuji, you mention Ruyi Jingu Bang as the best weapon for him. Another weapon that is worth considering is Mjolnir that is obtained by itemizing Thor. Stats on it are 254 Atk, 88 Acc, + Elec Boost. Ruyi's effect only lasts for 3 turns at the start where as Mjolnir is constant and would free up a skill slot.

You can get model guns from Akihabara from the guy next to capsule machines if you get a super rare capsule toy, he’ll trade you it for a model gun. Each go of the machine is 300 yen

Also you cannot itemize persona in the final dungeon. I was quite dissapointed by this as I had been waiting to grind until the final dungeon... just a heads up to those waiting till then to do so

You actually can itemize a Persona, but only one Persona. I learned that the hard way when I itemized Metatron there and I realized shortly after I couldn't do it again. Lavenza even tells you to come back another day even though it's the last day of the game. They really should've let you use Itemization repeatedly at that point.

HELP PLEASE BLACK ROCK NEEDED I am stuck on 12/24, I didn't realize it was the last in game day until beating the game, so I didn't make all of the best equipment in time. Now I reloaded the save at the beginning of mementos depths, I can itemize only one persona and I would like to go for the crystal skull accessory to carry to NG+ but I need a black rock. At this point I am opening random chests in the previous floors of mementos, but I've spent hours doing so with no luck. I am not even sure if "black gear" can be found in mementos, I am afraid it is impossible. Any advice?

I wanted to do a similar video but not necessarily with the best weapons but all special items in general. Just like the bear gloves for Makoto and such. But I guess the best weapons is what people are the most interested in anyway lol. The thing with weapons is that you litterally never use them in any decent difficulty level (except why not Joker for the pickpocket passive and still).

Yeah you usually don't use normal attacks, but many weapons have passive effects that can be used in any case

I prefer to use weapons with high accuracy, regardless of the attack power. Melee/gun attacks are most useful for knock downs or when the character run out SP, specially in early stages of the game. In 12/24, you can buy good guns at airsoft that can be upgraded to acquire high accurracy e resonable fire power, as well melee weapons with high stats.

I like to use the itemized "Ame no Uzume" for my weapon on Yusuke, the +5 ATK really helps with his Phys Damage

2:25 Mjolnir from Thor is better, as it lets you dispose of Elec Boost without regrets and has the same Stats as Ruyi Jingu Bang. PD: Auto Tarukaja only benefits him, and Joker can run Auto Mataru.

@SephiZack Not sure if this has been said, but model guns can be found by going to the capsule machine in akihabara and getting a " Super Rare " which isn't that rare and give to a man near the machines and he'll offer model guns.

For Ann it may not be her best weapon, but I think it deserves a mention. Sacrificing Skadi will get you the Snow Queen's Whip which is 210 atk and 90 acc but has auto-Sukukaja.

You're right regarding Ryuuji. I pinned a comment where I correct myself, but basically I got confused because of the wording. Usually single target passive buffs are called "Something Master", whereas party-wide passive butts are called "Auto-Something". I saw the "Auto" on the weapon and thought it was the party one, but didn't notice that there was a "ma" missing. I basically got trolled by Atlus and have no idea why they changed the name instead of keeping "Attack Master" like for the personas

Sorry but if you are already in mementos depth then you can’t do much unless you keep searching chests. I’m not sure if this part this is true so save but try just leaving cuz in a guide it says you can leave to go to the gun shop or the doctor so maybe you can just go to central street next to the Big Bang burger and get black rock for a high enough charm

What do you think about the weapon you get for Yusuke from itemizing Ame-no-Uzume? You get it early and I personally used it for my entire play-through since it gives +5 str. It's even better than the one from Yoshitsune if your using physical skills AFAIK.

Hey quick question, what's best on alice MA stat 89, 94 or 99 Considering the Gun from Lucifer Ma+10 or Metatron All Stats +5? Or would a natural 99Ma be sexy instead? :D

Maybe I would go with Metatron all +5 and Crystal Skull accessory (+5 and high decrease magic damage), so stopping at 89 If you want the "best", instead of using the Crystal Skull accessory there is an accessory called Omnipotent Orb you can get in NG+ from the optional superboss fight which nullifies every damage received apart from Almighty so in that case you would stop at 94 Magic

I was hoping the issue of the message of "This execution's special, so we can't just do it over and over again. Come back some other day!" would be addressed. I want paradise lost, have satanael, black kotogana, and access to the electric chair, but for some reason it isn't allowing me and gives me that vague, uninformative message. What does that mean? When can I get it? Is there a date I am required to wait until? Please and thank you. EDIT: Nvm. Found out about the cooldown on 8/2. Only one electric chair allowed a day. Glad I found out a lot sooner than 12/24 or I would have been hella salty.

I think just the items, but I actually don't know because I fused all the max confidant fusions before going into ng+ so I had them available in my compendium

fight reaper at flu season, fight him when he has despair run if he does not have it and wait till he spaw again on same area. this is on mementos btw

I prefer the mjolnir for ryuji, it raises electric damage

I wouldn't recoment it. Mjolnir says "+Electric damage", but to be precise it actually is "Electric boost" so if Ryuji also knows electric boss then nothing happens, there is no extra increment since you can't have the same ability twice. It would be diferent if Ryuji could learn "Electric amp" but he doesn't so in order to do some decent use to Mjolnir it would be better to drop "Electric boost" for "Shock boost" but it doesn't worth it, even less since your character can get shock for normal attacking a foe in shock. Also Ryuji is mainly a physical dmg dealer so it's magic attack will always be in the low side because that his elect attacks should mainly be used only agains those who are weak to them. If Ryuji is going to be a bad electric damage dealer then is better to not put a effort there. Give it just the strongest weapon or the one with Auto-tarukaja (that is actually cooler) If you are too lazy to keep changing to a full Auto-Ma-kaja persona after every fight.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET ALL OF THESE? I just got to the 2nd last area on new game plus and i dont even have all max confidants! Wtf man. If i played perfectly, how many play throughs would it take to get all of these?

3 male armors to itemize 9 posible mele weapons if you add Makoto alternative weapon (thought i don't see why to look for more than the one with best stats and high critical chance) 7 range weapons (Morgana's best weapon can be gotten only with max gun custom) This would mean 19 days in a row of itemization if you have the personas. You also need the best female amor + morgana's best armor throught shady communities (4 unholy armors to wash) but you can only get them from dic 11 to dic 23 so 12 days each walktrhrought. I think you can get like 2 or 3 unholy armors to wash in that short amount of time. You should save before to wash them in order to reload if you don't get the Haten Robe+ for females or the Nekomata's collar+ for Morgana. You can also aim for a extra Haten Robe+ for Futaba even thought she doesn't need it. Actually some say that her support skills require luck (not sure) so you can look for armors and accesories with + luck options just for the posibility. I think that Best luck accesory can be bought in Sae's palace.

these are all very cool, but they take a lot of time, effort and money to create. I beat the game twice with only Silver Dagger + Governance, my ultimate combo.

It's good and it has roughly the same damage as the one I put in this video. The only reason I don't use it is because I use Ryuji as a pure physical damage dealer (I keep one of his thunder skill just to exploit weaknesses) so I am not interested in increasing his electrical damage

You can still buy them from the second-hand shop once a month, so don't worry about that. When I first played I also sold everything I wasn't using

I went to go make Cybele but I was doing this early so I had to pay a but ton of money, so I did to make a level 76 Cybele but then it failed so instead I got a level 31 hell biker. I hate this game

I dont get how people get all the money to do all that, you don't have to worry much if you're lvl 99 yourself but on top of making the best personas, doesn't mean you now have the best personas due to skill inheritance. What you make it inherit matters a lot. easier way to get the skills you want is through skill cards but those aren't that easy either. Gotta find them first, make copies by maxing out Yusuke confidant, just ugh.
