Thanks! Haha, yeah I wasn't sure myself if that Hassou Tobi could defeat the two at the same time, but it ended well. In the end it's not really difficult, going solo is even better than with a party since you can control your weakness, past Shin Megami Tensei bosses were way more difficult.

Well, I've personally enjoyed watching Lettuce Sauce's failures. He posted a failed first attempt, and also has 30-second classics such as "End My Suffering" and "Kill Me" that show him barely failing. Thanks for the video. On the persona series, since persona 3 at least, i haven't seen anything more dificult than Elizabeth. There was only one way you could beat her and it still required some last second luck too to pull it off. Devil survivors optional bosses were also hard, thought it were still possible. Still, this battle isn't too easy in reality, true with this build it can be soloed, but if you are going with something diferent and a party you'll need a pretty high level and envolved Personas for your party. I only disliked the fact that in order to reach such a high level to win agains them our only option is to farm flu reaper, there was no advance extra dungeon or anything else and fighting the reaper properly required a lot of very costly homunculus and a level hight enough to do decent damage.

Gotta love overpowered Hassou Tobi.

The only in-battle difference between hard and merciless mode is that criticals and technicals attacks do triple the damage, but the two difficulties have the same damage modifiers (damage received x1.6 and damage dealt: x0.8). Since I haven't taken criticals (that in solo are insta-death anyway) or technicals, you could say that my video is in merciless mode, so I've no reason to do it again in merciless since it would be the same thing.

The difficulty modifiers remind me of how No Damage is actually harder on Very Hard for Metal Gear Rising because of how you do more damage on Revengeance while taking more, lol.

Yeah but a Merciless run only has a fraction of the XP meaningyou have access to much less HP and if you are doing with wo NG+ , wo access to the personas you might of had in the other difficulties.

+Preston K Since 23 is not the lowest level possible (there is a video of someone doing it at level 9), then there is no difference. The less xp deal only matters now if someone is able to reach them at level 8, or at 9 but use a completely different strategy than the japanese video, or else people like you will just say "meh, someone has already done that".

Fire was the only thing he wasn't completely immune to and that was only right after attacking with Yoshitsune. This setup is really smart. Yoshi is still resistant to fire but at lvl 23, that's still a ton of damage. Good thing the wardens were nice enough to heal him right afterward lol

It's not better for the skills per se, but it's better since Abaddon hasn't elec/wind/bless drain/null while Black Frost hasn't phys/gun drain/null. So Black Frost has the lowest probability to be hit by an attack and most importantly it can't be hit by Divine Judgment that would halve your Hp, that's why it's better.

Ok how is using Persona resistences to youre advantage cheesing? Its like a basic game mechanic. Using that to your advantage is a completely normal thing to do. If you just strong enough you can beat them faire an square. I personally kind of chesse them. I use a limelight on Joker so they dont exploid my team mates weaknesses. No 1 mores at all unless they land a crit. That makes this fight really easy. But if You are on a high enough level you can beat them without that.

I am honestly glad that this boss fight is not so insanely hard. A Boss fight does not need to be difficult to be fun.

It does defeat the purpose though. It's a NG+ optional side boss which is supposed to be a challenge. Going in with 3 personas that null or absorb all damage makes it pretty lame really. I don't even like hard boss fights, but this is ridiculous.

Well then why not just go in with a level 3 Pixie? That's a fucking stupid argument. It's supposed to test your skill, tactics, knowledge, and general strength. Having to limit yourself to shitty personas and characters to create your own challenge is again defeating the point of a superboss. I mean, it's not like disabling the slow mo reaction in MGSV, it's an optional SUPERBOSS. It's not meant to help the player do anything but prove their mettle.

That's the whole point, the twins are tha strong that they dont need strong personas. Just strong moves

I've answered this to another user some days ago, but I'll write the procedure again, but this time I'll write only the Yoshitsune drain/null skills part. I used gallows to pass most of the skills, using a Jack O' Lantern as sacrifice. Take your low level Jack O' Lantern and gallows-fuse into him these persona and inherit these skills (level to get the skills in brackets) : Ishtar(Drain Wind[Innate]), Chi You(Drain Psy[90]). Gallows-fuse these into Abaddon to inherit the remaining skills: Satan(Drain Ice[98]), Kali(Drain Nuke[82]). Gallows-fuse Jack into Yoshitsune and inherit Drain Wind, Drain Psy. Gallows-fuse Abaddon into Yoshitsune and inherit Drain Ice, Drain Nuke. Gallows-fuse Power into Yoshitsune and inherit Null Curse[46].

Dovrei aver speso attorno agli 8.400.000 - 9 milioni di yen Il mio consiglio per farmarli facilmente è cominciare il NG+ e seguire quanto ho fatto qui: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h86YidCemL-RYGw.html Stessa cosa si trova se cerchi money farming su youtube. Praticamente ti serve una persona con Confuse Boost, Pulinpa e 99Lu, poi devi entrare in combattimento con uno dei mini-boss delle side quest del Memento che sia suscettibile a Pulinpa (elenco dei mini-boss usabili qui: i.imgur.com/NKtDEz2.png). Una volta in battaglia confondi il mini-boss e lui ha una buona probabilità di lasciarti yen. Si usa uno di quegli specifici boss perchè non possono scappare dalla battaglia e puoi farmare fino a 9.999.999 in un solo combattimento. E' utile che la tua persona abbia 99Lu perchè influisce su quanti yen a volta lascia cadere il nemico, Confuse Boost serve per alzare le probabilità di efficacia di Pulinpa (praticamente funziona sempre). Consiglio inoltre di avere un accessorio equipaggiato per recuperare Sp ogni turno, in modo da poter usare sempre Pulinpa senza esaurirli. Se qualcosa non ti è chiaro chiedimi pure, so di non essere sempre presente su youtube, ma vedrò di rispondere appena posso. Buon gaming! :)

Cavoli ma sei un grande xD Avevo visto questo trick del pulinpa ed avevo pure preparato un persona apposito, ma l'ho scoperto troppo tardi ed avevo già completato tutte le request, per cui mi sono ritrovato costretto ad usarlo con mostri normali e non è stato ottimale in quando spesso droppano altro o nulla anche con Lu abbastanza alta (ne avevo circa 60 sull'Athropos che avevo fuso per pulinpa+confuse boost). Ora sto provando a farmare nell'ultima area del gioco, con livello di allerta alto in modo da far spawnare i treasure demon, ma non è ottimale... Quasi quasi lascio perdere questo modo e grindo in NG+ come mi hai descritto tu. Grazie! Ah, una domanda che mi viene ora rivedendo il video...siccome vanno sconfitte in sincrono, hai qualche suggerimento per bilanciare il fatto che i danni che fai a volte non sono perfettamente distribuiti a causa dei counter? Mi spiego: ad esempio rifletti un demonic decree e quindi una delle due si ritrova con molti meno hp dell'altra, ed hassou tobi attacca entrambe allo stesso modo, rischi di ucciderne una molto prima dell'altra...mi affido alla fortuna? :'D

Per i counter c'è un sistema leggermente migliore, ma un po' più impegnativo da preparare, ovvero usi Shiva al posto di Black Frost. Shiva al contrario di Black Frost assorbe Curse, in più devi solo tappare le resistenze a Fire, Wind e Nuclear, avendo così uno skill slot extra. In più potresti sostituire Arms Master di Yoshi con un Absorb/Null Bless: userai il doppio di Hp per Hassou Tobi, ma considerando che recuperi quasi sempre tramite elem. drain (questo finchè i tuoi Hp massimi non sono troppo alti, sennò Hassou Tobi potrebbe consumare di più di quanto gli Absorb curino) ottieni più controllo sulla battaglia (si potrebbe bilanciare settando un Regenerate 3 su quello slot libero di Shiva, ma con tutti i drain per me non vale davvero la pena, molto meglio settare un Absorb Phys). Così nell'ultima fase del combattimento avresti totale controllo sui counter grossi di Bless e Curse. L'unica cosa che rimarrebbe casuale è il fatto che Hassou Tobi può missare una delle due e rovinarti la sconfitta sincrona, a me in questo caso il counter ha salvato il combattimento, ma è stata questione di fortuna nella sfortuna. In conclusione per avere più controllo sull'RNG, il mio consiglio è di sostituire Black Frost con Shiva [Abs Phys/Fire/Wind/Nuclear, Charge, Heat Riser, Firm Stance, Spell Master] e di sostituire Arms Master di Yoshi con Abs/Null Bless, avendo così solo Hassou Tobi fuori totale controllo (sempre attenzione al consumo Hp di Hassou Tobi). Scusami per la tarda risposta e ormai non servirà, ma da quel che ricordo dovresti essere in grado di rifondere persona dei confidant a livello massimo come Attis, mentre se non erro l'exp da arcana boost bisogna riottenerlo, prendi tutto un po' con le pinze visto che è da parecchio che non ci rigioco, ma dovrebbe essere così

Take your low level Jack O' Lantern and gallows-fuse into him these persona and inherit these skills (level to get the skills in brackets) : Raphael(Charge[innate], Heat Raiser[80]), Mara(Firm Stance[78]) or Futsunushi(Firm Stance[81]) since you'll fuse him for Yoshitsune, Barong(Null Elec[55]), Ishtar(Drain Wind[Innate]), Chi You(Drain Psy[90]), Pisaca(Null Bless[through Special Solitary Confinement, strength confidant lv8 ability]), Uriel(Spell Master[86]). Now fuse Black Frost, inherit all that you can from Jack, than the skill remaining are learned gallows-fusing Jack into Black Frost. Gallows-fuse Jack into Abaddon and inherit Charge, Heat Riser, Drain Psy, Firm Stance and Spell Master. Gallows-fuse these into Abaddon to inherit the remaining skills: Moloch(Drain Fire[64]), Satan(Drain Ice[98]), Kali(Drain Nuke[82]). Because at the time I didn't know Shiva had 1 more drain/null element than Black Frost, Shiva is indeed better for that reason. On the other hand Black Frost's curse repel may come in handy when there is huge Hp difference between the twins (and we hope this is not the case and Hassou Tobi doesn't miss a girl and Yoshitsune doesn't repel Divine Judgment), but it becomes more of a lucky game and it may also screw up everything (in my case I was lucky and it saved me). Let's say that in a perfect play, if all goes as planned I'll probably choose Shiva instead of Black Frost.

that's true I initially wanted to try Kaguya or Satanel + some other support out for the twins but after looking at your video I realized Abaddon,Black Jackforst/shiva and yoshitune have much better elemental coverage. btw thanks for responding to all the questions, sharing your insight and explaining the process to make your personas, you have been extremely helpful :D

Its tedious/Expensive but you can keep feeding personas into Yoshitune giving it one level at a time and checking which stats will increase. The Expensive part is that you have to register Yoshitune then discard him and get him back from the compodium. This lets you feed another persona into him again.

You should be able to do it even without being immune to everything, using a different strategy/persona setup. It's still true that this seems meant to be cheesed as you can't null/drain/repel anything with other SMT superbosses (IIRC you could do it in P4) and I miss that mechanics.

Meant to be cheesed? I honestly think its a perfectly balanced faire fight. I only fought them with my full party. I guess to defead them alone you have to cheese them but if you fight them with youre full party than its a hard but faire fight. How ever there is a way to make this fight really easy. Just use limelight on Joker and the twins will almost never exploid youre teamates weaknesses. So you can have youre full party but the twins can get little to no 1 mores. I guess thats also kind of cheesing this fight. But I dont see the wrong in using game mechanics to my advantage. I beat them on hard with a level 65 party and Kohryu and Satanael as Jokers Persona and it was easy. Satanael would not even been necesary. And Kohryu has some cool resistances but is fare from being immune to everything. Honestly I found this fight absolutely amazing. Its not insanely hard. Its actually quite easy fore an optional super boss. But a Boss fight does not need to be hard to be fun. I like that you dont need to do any crazy grinding ore stuff from your previous play through to defeat them. But it still puts my skills to the test. I love how so many confidant abilltys help me in this fight. Taes Renew All, Morganas Tools, Harus Vegetables, the twins special tread. Its pretty cool. I never defeated the Dark Aeons in FFX simply because the grinding was to boring.

I just beat them using Makoto Ryuji and Yusuke. They all have stat buffs. After that just keep Ryuji and Yusuke on the attack Makoto is support since she gets Mediarahan. mC is a mix of the two. If you've unlocked Odin he's a massive help since he repels both bless and curse. Grab at least 40 magic ointments and have at it. Its a long fight when done generally though. About 50 minutes.

Without drain or null it should be possible, it'll be pretty difficult without resist. Right now I'm thinking of this: you may fuse Satanael with Regenerate 1,Regenerate 2, Regenerate 3, Firm Stance, Charge, Heat Raiser, Invigorate 3, Spell Master than Yoshitsune with Hassou Tobi, Res Ice, Res Wind, Res Psy, Res Nuke, Res Curse, Firm Stance, Arms Master. You'll also need the Divine Pillar from the Reaper. This'll mitigate the girls' damage a lot, with high Hp (450 or more) you should be able to recover all of the damage done to you, but I'm not sure if it'll work well with their last bless and curse spells (in that case null Bless and Curse may be mandatory) and it won't let you recover Hassou Tobi's Hp cost. If there is an AoE skill that does enough damage to the sisters (so similar to Hassou Tobi), you may fuse a Legion with Resist Ice, Resist Elec, Resist Wind, Resist Nuke, Resist Bless, Arms Master, Firm Stance, the AoE skill. Legion comes naturally with the other element resistances (and the gun res) and you may level it up to 99 with 99St, 99Ag and 62En. Anyway at some point you may need some recovery item. This is what I've thought at the moment, but it would need to be tested.

It's a Curse-type skill that halves the HP of one enemy. Beelzebub learns it at level 87. You need to max out the Devil Confidant (Ichiko Ohya, the journalist) in order to fuse Beelzebub.

You can fight them in NG+ as soon as you can enter mementos (from what I've reread it's from may 9 until december 22), if you lose you can refight them.

That's a forced fight. You need to beat the game first, load your new game+ save file, play the game until you can go into Mementos, and talk to Caroline.

Ng+ lets you carry over your compendium and summon any persona you've registered in a previous playthrough regardless of level
