Persona 5 is a role-playing video game developed by Atlus for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 video game consoles. Persona 5 is chronologically the sixth installment in the Persona series, which is part of the larger Megami Tensei franchise. Published by Atlus in Japan and North America and by Deep Silver in Europe and Australia, the game was released first in Japan in September 2016, and worldwide in April 2017. In Western regions, Persona 5 was the first main game in the series since Persona 2: Eternal Punishment to omit the Shin Megami Tensei moniker.

Hanged Man Social Links Persona 3: Help a girl overcome her family's problems, and eat food with her. Persona 4: Help a dead girl's brother get over her death, and he ends up venting to you and telling you he pissed his pants. Persona 5: Help an attractive middle-aged man who could double as your dad with his gun shop and eavesdrop on conversations to find out what the yakuza has in store for him, then prevent his son from finding that his dad was yakuza in the first place, only for that to blow up in your face

Hanged Man SL is usually a story of closure. P4's Konishi can't stand the thought of losing his sister, and eventually comes to understand how he will live for Saki. P5's Iwai pities his son for having a troubled father, but later realizes how much Kaoru cherishes his family.

Maria Luke Do it! acting tough and trolling Iwai is one of the best ways to level up his confidant quicker. After my second play through, I started messing with him at what I considered unimportant times. I leveled him up so much faster

By far one of my favorite social links( I know they are confidants, but to be honest, they're still social links to me). Iwai just oozes with that type of style I love! I'm really glad the kid connected with his dad, too. It just shows how Iwai and Kaoru are pretty cool.

In my opinion, his Rank 9's event is probably the most exciting confidant link event in the game, or perhaps in the series! In the Rank 8's event, the crisis seemed to be averted after Tsuda's heart was changed. Hence, I totally didn't expect the abduction of Kaoru and Tsuda's assistance. After that, the tension and conflict in the scenario was beautifully resolved with Kaoru, Iwai and Joker having a meal in the dinner. On the other hand, Iwai's Rank 10's event is slightly disappointing in my opinion. Of course it is logical for Iwai to ask Joker what are the points of having model guns and replica knives. However, it would make more sense to ask that question before promising Joker he would provide support. In my opinion, the impact of Iwai's cool & kind words right before the strong bond was formed (from 46.12 to 46:37) was greatly diminished by the question about the guns and knives.

@@asilva5021 Yup, now you can customize them with ailment and damage modifiers of your choice instead of just upgrading them once. Also at rank 5 I think you get a discount for it, and at rank 10 it's completely free.

The vibe and personality I get from Iwai seems more of a military veteran than a former gangster. But I guess in both worlds although the mission statements are different, there's an Oath and code of conduct that members follow that are similar.
