I thought it was sad too but it was fitting for his character and a very sweet moment seeing his friends vouch for Joker and all come together providing evidence that he is a good person and shorten his sentence

You see, I didn’t trust him from the start. In Sae’s palace... I didn’t put him in my party, I never bought him weapons, nor any armor. If anything, after the betrayal, I noticed I STOLE his default armor, gun AND weapon. I sold them, laughing like a mad man, I somehow ended up with his default crap in my inventory and made money off it. Literally the shirt off his back.

Idk if anyone know this but to get akechi back you need to max out maruki confindant by November and you also need to max out kasumi to or it won’t work Edit: this was 3 years ago stop replying plz

@@Snpaulie You actually need 3 things: Maruki's & Kasumi's Confidants Maxed Out before the end of November & December respectively, and you need to have Akechi's Confidant to be at least Rank 8 before he betrays you as well. This is because getting Akechi back is required to even access the new dungeon and to achieve the new "True Ending".

@@LucyTheLamia I'm sure you can. You could do so in the previous games (P4 in particular had 3 different endings you could get, a Bad ending, a Normal ending, and a True ending....and Golden added a fourth ending....which was another bad ending that you basically had to *choose* to get willingly). Since the only requirements to access the new stuff is to simply max out two Confidants and get a third nearly maxed out, and Confidant progress resets on a new playthrough, I'm sure you can access the new stuff on NG+ if you missed out the first time around.

I was extremely close in losing the opportunity to max out both Akechi and Maruki. Had to basically max out only them for the entire November part. And just before the deadline too.

when i first played royal, i thought something was going to happen at the fight against him in shido's palace. but then nothing happened and i started crying, because i love akechi. xD but then when this happened, I cried even more. 😂😂😂

Considering the “True end” of Royal I’ll just stop the stupid theorizing and accept the Pancake Prince is alive. I’ve done weird quests in other games to save characters, his appearance on the station is my confirmation.

But then ren saw his phantom thief self from the train window symbolising that it was part of the metaverse. So yeah akechi is dead plus he even stated it many times and atlus never included any of the unused parts of the where akechi went to rehab in the final product of P5R.

Even though Akechi didn’t really show it, but I think he grew to respect them to an extent considering how much the PT’s went thru, thus his repayment to turn himself in to save Ren. That’s why I respected his character more from this point and so on. Truly a well written villain 🙏

Akechi can possibly live in the Royale ending if you maxed out his confidant and chose specific dialogue at rank 8 rank 9 and deciding you want to keep your promise to him after he turns himself in. It follows the same logic why morgana got to live because his friends all believed he was real. But the same conditions are harder to meet because Akechi isn’t very well liked by the other thieves. It’s all dependent on if his relationship with joker is strong enough does maruki illusion of him become real.

So, does the Japanese justice system work differently this way? Or is Sae saying Shido would plead not guilty to the crimes that he confessed to? Why would they need testimony to prove him guilty if he already confessed and (due to the change of heart bringing genuine remorse) would almost certainly plea guilty?

Japan puts greater emphasis on physical evidence. You need it to get the case to go to trial, and if it does there's a 90 percent chance of conviction.

@@LottoLogista Huh? No, it won't. The Akechi fight is almost exactly the same in Royal. His ""revival"" is explained in the third semester, almost three months after the events of Shido's Palace.

FYI thats a cognitive akechi created by Mr. Snacks Daddy. Plus Atlus didnt change futaba's dialogue when she tried to locate akechi if he was dead or alive after the shutters fell down.

I prefer Joker turning himself into the police and his friends all coming together to provide evidence that he is a good person and therefore shortens his sentence. It shows how his friends really care for him and they save him

In my opinion Akechi and Morgana are extremely similar. Both shouldnt exist anymore. But morgana is engraved in the thieves' cognition that he stays in existence. Joker wishes Akechi was alive, and because he was engraved in his cognition. He found a place

P5r ending makes me so mad sometimes, Akechi can't be dead bevause when everyone comes to the conclusion Akechi's dead he doesn't disappear like the other's do. Meaning he's definitely Alvie, so rlly maruki just took akechi from wearever he was to be with sae and joker at that time. We also see him in the ending of p5r, I REALLY hope they do another p5 spinoff game so we can find out what actually happened to akechi.

Spoilers** He didnt survive but he was brought back because of the new Maruki reallity and then you have to choose between fighting for the real world even if akechi dies (but thats what he want even knowing his fate) or live a fake reality where he is alive as well as futabas mother and harus father

Everyone says that you need to get Akechi to Rank 8 in order to get the True Ending, yet I ended forgetting and left him at Rank 7 the day before Sae’s Palace by accident and still got the True Ending. Edit: Nevermind, didn’t know about the extra scene

They mean that there's actually an additional scene during the true ending if you max out Akechi's Confidant.

Yes. Futaba says that the only readings she gets are the weaklings. Meaning that the Cognitive Akechi and the real one died

Original P5 is the true ending. P5S is a sequel to the original P5. P5R is just some alternate version of the story

I would assume not. If you max Akechi's confidant, you can see a similar outfit that he wore in a post-credits scene

@@Kagetora- But you need to max out maruki's confidant in order for akechi to appear in 12/24 and maruki has already been distorting reality little by little ever since he awakened to his persona. And his palace was fully developed during pre-okumura palace infiltration.

If you dont like it, ignore it if its a hindrance. Me? I like both P5 for its true ending and P5R for maruki And FYI, if P5R was really that great, why didnt it surpassed P5 vanilla's sales?
