Seeing Ichinose and Sophia laughing like mother and daughter was heartwarming

This was truly a worthy sequel, with an ending that was so unique, different, and sad, but it makes you happy. P5 and the cast will always be my favorite in the series. Truly changed my perspective on life, and inspiring as a whole. I can’t imagine myself without the messages they give off.

Every time joker speaks it’s just a treat

"See ya later, phantom thieves. Maybe in persona 6 you'll make a cameo and we will see each other again." Damn. I played p5, p5r, and p5s. It will be hard to say goodbye to these charecters.

Persona 5 strikers: What I expected: a fun spin-off. What I actually got: such an amazing sequel!

You ever feel so attached to a game you just don’t want it to finish? That is how i feel about persona 5

Up until Ichinose leaves, it’s ur typical JRPG goodbye ending. But it isn’t until Sophie sends Joker the group photo that u realize how hard it hits u in the feels. It’s a tear-jerker for sure.

In my opinion, this was the most painful goodbye. Not only will you say goodbye once again to your friends, you also leave the cute AI friend you made, but at the same time, I was glad the mother and daughter reunited the good way in the end. Even though the daughter isn’t an actual person.

Its happy ending Now Sophia, Zenikichi and Ichinose will join the forgotten party member in future games like Kasumi

The “treasure” email caught me totally off guard emotionally. I don’t know what to do with myself now.

Man, I love the ending so much that I had some tears in my eyes. The friendship of The Phantom Thieves is Persona 5 Strikers feels more fleshed. I thought they were friends too in P5/P5R, but they were more into business. Here they were having as much fun as they had together while being serious saving people. And the very end where Sophia goes with Ichinose & explaining why she wants that as her path is very heartwarming since she really grew throughout the game. And Zenkichi seeing Owada being arrested for killing his wife was very satisfying to watch. Zenkichi & Sophia are amazing & well-written characters that I connected very well with, & I like them a bit more than Dr. Maruki & Sumire, which are great characters too, but Zenkichi & Sophia were there for us in the journey, & so I connected with them much more. Overall, P5S is amazing, & easily my 3rd favorite Persona game. I’m hoping we see another sequel, maybe a Persona 5 Arena game. The Phantom Thieves are definitely returning, but I’m hoping all the cast of P3 & P4 return, as well Akechi, Dr. Maruki & Sumire from P5R, & Zenkichi & Sophia from P5S. That’s my big hope for P5A. And I feel like it will happen one day since it’s Persona’s 25th Anniversary, Persona 5 is very popular, so fingers crossed.

Why are goodbyes always the saddest part of a Persona game? (edit: this was a rhetorical question but I appreciate everyone's insights as to why they think it's sad)

I had a dream of a sort of DLC where Akechi somehow meets Sophia and they have a short story fighting together. Got me so hyped and then I woke up lmao

I was so attached to everyone in this game. But Sophie was my all time favorite. When she left with Ichinose, I wanted to cry. No correction. I cried. Hard. I had to call some friends to calm me down. And they said it was just a game. Even if they've played persona before. This is my FIRST persona game, and i loved everyone in the game. I grew attached to everyone. And I'm going to miss everyone. Because these people are like friends to me. Zenkichi was like a father, and Sophie the little sister i wish i had.

Just beat the game (02-28-21) and not goin to lie it made me cry. I really enjoyed the story

It's been incredibly difficult to finish each game in the P5 story for mem and Striker's was no different. Just beat the game last night and couldn't stop the eyes from watering watching the credits. P5 has made the incredible jump to the top of my favorite game of all time list, and I'm incredibly sad knowing this is probably the last canon story we will get from this group of characters. I still haven't played P3 (still hoping for a remake at the 25th anniversary event), and P4 was great, but I've never felt so connected personally to a cast of characters ever. It's so hard to finish games from the P5 series because these characters truly are my best friends while Im playing. The closer you get to the finish line, the more you realize the journey is coming to an end. The characters feel alive, they make you laugh, they make you feel sorrow. It's what Atlus has always done well, but seems to have perfected for this 5th installment. Now, assuming there's no canon content from Arena, we wait for P6. I only hope P6's characters can draw me in the way P5's have. Thank you for some great memories Atlus. You did a damn good job.

We had a continuation of the original story and a sequel... and now we're probably never gonna see these characters again. The Phantom Thieves are truly one of a kind, and honestly I'm really not sure if Persona 6 will ever be after to top them.

Just beat the game earlier this morning, this is somehow equally sad and happy. Everyone is saying goodbye once again. But at the same time everyone has gotten what they wanted. Goodbye again phantom thieves hope to see you all again in the future.

Fun fact: If you missed a request they won't show up in the credits. Not sure with Makoto and Yusuke though since their requests are not tied to one another (I may be wrong here though). Same with Morgana, which only unlocks if you completed Ann's.

I want a persona 5 sequel with persona 5 royal gameplay and length, packed with content and bring all the characters together from royal and Strikers that would be amazing.

Me and my brother started playing this in summer (2021). I had asked my brother about it since I saw him play it so much and he explained a bit to me. Then he asked me if I wanted to play it, and I said yes. (BTW, I din’t actually “play” it but I took all the decisions) and we played, and lord was that game so much fun. We spent all summer playing it. (since we’d take some days + we went on vacation twice in summer) My brother had another game till after we defeat the first god (I don’t know how to spell or pronounce his name-) and Sae was telling us we’d have to take a decision. So this way I could experience both the ending of the original and Royal. Lord I think I cried at bit at the end but I knew we’d play the sequel once we had time again. Roll in Christmas vacations. And we start playing Stryker- I din’t think it would live up to Persona but I was so impressed by the game once again, And at the moment I’m writing this we have just finished, I already knew I was gonna cry but I din’t expect to sit on my brother floor bawling my eyes out for a few minutes. I kept saying that I din’t want this to end and that I couldn’t say goodbye to them. I’ve never had such a impact from a franchise or Fandom before, but my love for Persona 5 is too much. And I can’t say goodbye- I refuse to, I refuse to Believe this is the end. Is this the last time I hear Ryuji, my boy (favorite character), say “For real” and just be our best friend? Ryuji is such a comfort character for me (not cuz I relate too him with his past but he stole my heart from the beginning) Is the last time we see Futaba grow more? Our shy bean becoming more confident every day? Is this the last time we hear Morgana simp for Ann? Or insult Ryuji? Our favorite cat-not-cat that guided us since the beginning Is this the last I hear of Yusuke? His artistic speech and oh so funny character? Always made me laugh when he said such weird things that was normal to him? Is this the last I hear of Ann? Do we not get to see our favorite model continue being the queen she is? Is this the last time we go have sweets with her? What about Makoto? Is this the last time I see our mom-friend yet badass Queen? She hasn’t finish reminding us to study! Do we not get to see her follow her dreams?! What about Haru! Don’t we get to see her open her business?! Such a lovely character she is! Don’t we get to see her again?! What about Sojiro?! Our Coffee dad who took care of us since the beginning, is this the last time we enjoy some curry and Coffee from LeBlanc? Is this the last time we work behind the counter? What happened with Sumire back in Royal?! What is of her story!? Is she still trying to give it her all? What about Akechi?! Did we stop mourning that who we consider our friend!? Who sacrificed himself for us?! Even more! What of Sophia and Ichinose? How is there story gonna continue, will Ichinose find what she’s looking for? Will Sophia be the best companion?! What about Gramps and Akane! They finally put the man responsible for Aoi death behind bars! Will they’re relationship get better? Will Akane ever know WE are the Phantom Theives?! There so much left unsaid that I’m not ready to say goodbye! This was also a bonding experience for me and my brother. And even tho we bond over other stuff, this was a good time for us to be together. I’m not ready to say goodbye to this game...

I think there’s gonna be another game with the phantom thieves based on their ending conversation. They always come back!

There are twow types of ending that can make someone cry or be emotional, one is where everyone dies, goes corrupt or simply loses to the villian or "the big bad", and the other that is so sweet and everyone got their job done, everyone is happy and... Makes you sad that you won't them reunite again, this type of ending happened to me twice, one with Uncharted 4, and now, with Persona: Strikers, it makes even more emotional to me since, just like them, i'm finishing my high school and al of my friends... Well, we're going to seperate ways anyway.

This was an amazing end for Persona 5. It was truly an amazing sequel and a well-deserved goodbye to Persona 5 fans. It might be a little sad seeing them off to their separate paths, but... it's still a good ending. An ending to what was once a Persona 5 to be able to start another and reborn as Persona 6.

I'll never forget the adventures the Phantom Thieves had. I know kinda sad they said goodbye to the Phantom Thieves, but that doesn't mean they'll be forgotten. No matter how far they apart, they will always be together. Persona 5 makes me feel alive and special. Hopefully Persona 6 characters will follow their footsteps. Persona 5 is the only game that deserves more love and attention. The Joker and the Phantom Thieves legacy will live on, now and forever.

(7/25/21) My sis and I finally beat the game. Even though P4 still has my favorite cast, it was really fun to see everybody again on another adventure. Glad I got to experience it and can’t wait to see what’s next. Even if this might be the Thieve’s last adventure. I’ll miss these guys :)

My boi really just kill another god huh? Maybe they weren't as powerful as Nyx but still 2 gods under his belt. Not bad

just finished the game tonight. a lot of thoughts but the ones that struck me the most... There were often references to the Phantom Thieves' original journey, be it direct mentions/references such as President Okumura, Shido, Madarame to name a few. I was dying to see (as other characters from the original were referenced) if Goro Akechi would be at all mentioned or referenced, was sad that he wasn't, especially since he and Konoe share quite a number of similarities. I suppose it makes sense, because if they mention him it's basically acknowledging his death and rules out the possibility he can return later (as Royal wanted to do, though Royal is a different timeline since Strikers is a sequel to the original Persona 5) thought a lot about how there's a ton of crossover between the the themes of Strikers and the third semester of Royal (the Phantom Thieves not wanting/not allowing something/someone to pull the strings and manipulate people or reality, to take away the people's free will and opportunity to grow through adversity), seemed very intentional. lol if Royal and Strikers has taught me anything: never trust people in lab coats lol A really enjoyable story, one fitting for the return of the Phantom Thieves :)

I would like to make note that that final combo attack didnt use their Personas at all. It was them using their weapons. I might be reading to much into it... However symbolically it tells me they were all ready to face the world as themselves. No need to hide behind their masks or hide in a false reality. Showing their growth from Royal.

MC's only voiced dialogue is "Yeah."

Let's hope there will be a third game.
