I made one of these last year that died with my account, so here's my new and improved Kayley ranking!
Little Mod: I'm almost CERTAIN I prefer 5 over 4, but the transition between 6 and 5 sounded so good I didn't want to change anything XD
My opinion of this move: The songs don't match the music and it's hilariously annoying. The Prayer during a chase scene? Devon and Cornwall getting attacked by violent plants during a love duet? Also frig Devon and Cornwall. I hate annoying sidekicks (Genie and Mushu come to mind as characters that kinda bug me...but they're nothing compared to those twin-headed bastards.)
Three more days of first year, nine days off, three days of exams. I should be happy but I actually feel kind of blank!

I think European Spanish Kayley is pretty good! Even when her voice is not lyrical, Kayley is not the traditional Snow White or Aurora princess, she is an 'ordinary' girl, and her voice is 'fresh', pleasant and natural sounding, like I would expect from her ^^:) In that sense I think the 'modern 90s vibe' fits her :) I did like Danish though, what I heard of it. English is one of my favourites, too.

Let's see; I like Viktoria & Ilia to some extent. Ranran wasn't a big difference to me, her voice often annoys me &, I can actually prefer the similar sounding Japanese stereotypes over her, she's fine though! Benedicte for me, can only be Odette; her distinct yet formal style doesn't work with anyone else IMO! LOL! When the"O imagina si!" part of Italian came I was like; THAT IS RENATA? But then I realized it was the guy! XD Love your top 3!

We have the same number one! Natalia is so amazing as Kaley. I even prefer her Kaley over her Meg(ara)!

lol.... you just found the best word for describing Anabela, Kermit the Frog' lol.... you did it better than me, i've never found the right word. anyways, i think Kayley is the role i enjoy her the most. for your ranking, it starts like mine but then it's gettin' mixed. but i'm still happy with your top 5!

I second you on defending Anabela! XD I think she "fits" almost every character she does, even Rapunzel! It's her singing style which annoys people, but I've lived with that & I love her as yet!

I actually like Hungarian better than English, but as I said in my description the editing was so nice I didn't want to swap their places :O Andrea Corr's music with her band is pretty catchy too. But I by default love all English voices, the ones I adore are like 1-3 in my tops and the ones I 'like less' are still hovering from 10th-7th place in my rankings. There are a few exceptions though, mostly in the case of males - I really hate Garret in English!

I often like Spanish male singing in these children's movies - have you heard our Kristoff, our John Smith..., but Garret, only when he sings - not when he speaks - he is well.. making a huge effort. I absolutely love Kayley and for the reasons I said, but as much as her voice fits the character like a glove, Garret's doesn't, only in the tone of voice - that simply means the voice is unfitting, but although the male dubber is shockingly the singer of a classic Spanish band, La Unión, Rafa Sánchez. In stage he is much better, and his type of music and range is probably more comfortable for him. This is a well known song by them back in 1982! sl4GO6pgRas

I like her better as Kayley too, but not by much! For Meg she's my second fav and Kayley she's my first, which really puts her in good standings.

agree, i wrote it too in my Portuguese ranking before 4 months. i like her here the best because there are parts i almost don't notice it's her. in TLM 1 she has nice moments too. but if you listen to her "honor to us all" it's Kermit the Frog all the way lol... and i actually support you when you put Anita and Benedicte down in the middle. i'd do the same. what i don't get is Turkish's position. for the rest, i agree with you as usual, but would switch some places for sure.

Ranran is good no doubt, but she lacks uniqueness when compared to the other global voices. Of course she does sound different than her other Japanese co-singers; but her voice is pretty mainstream. The only singers I actually found "different" & awesome in the Japanese scenario are Miriam (& Tzipporah) alongwith the soloist of I'll Try. Ranran belongs to my average category.

I don't think that Viktoria (Greek version) is childish, I think she sounds young but not really childish.

I do like most other Japanese voices more than Ranran, like Mayumi and Eri and Honoka, and then some I like less like Mayumi's Aurora and Satoko/Maki/Mitsuko???? the old Aurora, all the voices are similar, I really just judge by how well the voice goes with the song style.

I think Kayley is te best Anabela sound. If you listen to the soundtrack for Little Mermaid II in Portuguese, I find she sounds VERY Kermitty. I figure your top is similar to mine except with Benedicte and Anita up higher, and probably Lydia and Renata surpassing Nena, but with Nena still given a respectable spot, just a guess :P

I know people don't really like Anita as Kayley, but still I thought she would be further down :P I didn't grow up with the Norwegian version, but I still love Anita :3 My childhood version is Swedish and I love it SO much! I think Myrra was best as Kayley! I also love Italian, Finnish and Icelandic But I can't stand Nena...

Interesting ranking, but I disagree with your comment about Victoria Halkiti, she made a good duet with Dimo Beke (Garrett), and NO he doesn't sound like a pedophile, he is a nice person, believe me! ;)

With Garrett the speaking & singing voice don't even match. You have the speaking voice Cary Elwes, a British actor then once he starts singing his voice becomes Bryan White's, a Country singer. I have always been bothered by that.
