Oh girl 😢 so happy you’re ok!!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼 so so scary!!!!! I pray your daughter is also ok!! That part about your dad truly made me cry so hard. I’m so happy you finally have that peace that he wasn’t in pain ❤ so glad you’re ok!!!!

So glad you're ok. Thank for for sharing. I'm glad you had good care and felt heard. I went to the ER for horrible abdominal pain that had me shaking nonstop when I was 11 weeks pregnant with my twins. They never figured out what it was but they believed me and I got Morphine too. My husband drove the 30 minutes on the highway to the hospital 85 mph with his flashers at night. I'm a nurse and have seen some really good care/pain management and have also had to advocate for patients who were not having their pain well managed. Hope you're feeling better and getting some rest!

My husband had kidney stones. They couldn’t get him stickers either. Had to have a specialist come in to do it. He has detoxed his body hard core to where he has them no more. They were way painful. Glad that they figured it out. You had a great dr!

I'm so sorry you went through all that! I had a similar experience when I had my first kidney stone too- it was intensely bad. Also, don't feel bad about taking ambulance it's one of the worst pains. If you go see a Urologist for a follow-up and you can take NSAIDS (same class of drugs as advil)- ask for Keterolac, it's much stronger than advil and if it ever happens again, and it'll dial the pain way down in about 40 minutes. It's saved me a trip to the hospital at least 3 times since.

Glad you're feeling better. My husband went through the same thing recently. I took one look at his face and got him into the car to take him to the ER. The morphine took it all away. I had a CT scan not long ago and asked if I should take my wire bra off and they said no. It is the MRI where you have to remove all metal.

Hugs, Mama. I am so thankful that you are okay and had a good physician. I was an ICU Nurse and worked some in the ER too. I agree that women are not always taken as seriously and there is prejudice against those of us who are plus size. I’ve had some good care as a patient and I’ve had some horrible care. It is a shame. I wanted to tell you that the ambulance is only allowed to use lights and sirens for a very few circumstances or traffic would always be pulled to the side of the road with the number of people they transport to the hospital. The firemen and EMTs have a lot of training and probably suspected kidney stones, so even though the pain is excruciating and intolerable, they aren’t allowed to transport as though it is life-threatening. I am SO sorry you went through this and so sorry about your precious daughter. I cannot believe they would not even allow her in the waiting room. That is so weird. Praying you’re back to feeling yourself soon and enjoying your summer break with your family.
