This video came just in time. I purchased a joy and have yet to use it and a bundle of these clear cups similar to these from Amazon because I selfishly I wanted a different drinking cut for everyday of the week 😅 so now I have a project for this coming weekend 🥰 thanks. I’m Definitely going to give this a try.

Would you recommend cleaning these before hand? I always clean my other tumblers (they're metal), but because these are acrylic will the rubbing alcohol scratch the tumbler? What would someone recommend to clean it with before applying the decals? Thanks!

Hii, I used cold color activated vinyl (permanent) and I had so much trouble sticking it to the same cup you used. I have some of my vinyl lifting from the corners. Do you have any tips or recommendations ? Thank you

Hmmmm this is tricky! Did you clean the tumbler before to remove any dirt and oil? Do you think the lift is being caused by the condensation from the drink?

Does the vinyl come off easily? Like say for the person you give it to, does the writing/design stay on for a long time?

As long as the person is not soaking the cup and does not purposefully pick at it, it is permanent vinyl and should last a long time!

I HAVE THE SAME TUMBLERS AND I AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE VINYL STICKING.. I HAVE CLEANED THE CUPS. I HAVE EVEN TRIED THE HEATED TRANSFER VINYL AND IT STILL WANT STICK.. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

I have matte tumblers and when I try to add vinyl to the cup it want transfer for some reason . Anyone have any idea why and any recommendations

Couldn’t get regular vinyl to stick but light weight holographic vinyl and a little heat worked for me!!!!

We recommend leaving the vinyl 72 hours to fully adhere to the tumbler. Then you shouldn't need to use anything to seal it 🙂

Are these powder coated? I tried some and the permanent vinyl doesn't stick. Yes I cleaned with alcohol first. I don't know what I'm doing wrong

Hi Gabriela! These are the tumblers used in the video: amzn.to/3pTFAdu Tumblers that are powder coated will be tough to have the vinyl adhere because it isn't a smooth surface. Try to use a rubber coated if possible!

I have never worked with vinyl before, but I want to try making this project. Will the letters stick well to the matte surface? I’m thinking they will need to be hand washed.

They to stick well we wash ours in the sink with no issues. let them cure for at least 24 to 48 hours

@@YouCanTotallyMakeThat I have purchased Strata Acrylic Tumblers 22oz on Amazon it looks like what you have but the shape is different. I used Oracal 651 vinyl but I am having issue sticking the vinyl onto the tumbler for some reason it won't stick on the tumbler I have cleaned it with rubbing alcohol. what seems to be the problem? what am I doing wrong? I need help please.

It will depend on the size of your tumbler, we recommend measuring your space you want to put the names. :)
