The real Barcelona is gone.... A model of Tourism that only leave money to Businessmen (that only pay 1000 Euros to their employees) ruined the human ecosystem of the real Barcelona. Gentrification and equality. That is why people here in BCN hate Tourism, because actually bring poverty and Housing Crisis. ... The worst part: most of the Tourists can not grasp this concept. How good is for the workers that can not pay for housing anymore?

I like his early work too, I don’t like the work he is famous for, I too love art in all forms, but not my cup of tea is all.

You could say that the fragmentation, dissimulation, and 'ugliness' of some of his work is still powerful expressions of humanity. Not all the human experience is 'nice to look at' - especially when you've lived through 2 world wars.

@@user-tt4jz3tm6t I like comparing the visual Art experience with classical music. You can appreciate quality presentation, skill of application etc. If that is not done well it's not worth the time or energy to listen to or look at.
