I am only 8min in, but i'm so angry to people who have judged you for taking opioides ! I live in France, i have chronic pain for one year only and i'm only exhausted. I often think, i won't be able to be a mom because of that. I already struggle with day job. I admire you. Keep going.

My name is Lorraine. and my heart goes out to you. I at one point after taking an antibiotic Incurred burning mouth syndrome. I had it for some time and I.became very depressed. I don,t have it anymore but just listening to all you've been thru breaks my heart. I have been in pain for 25 years with CRPS, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis sciatica. and diabetic neuropathy all in my right leg. So, I can empathize with you completely about all the struggles you've been thru. I am terribly sorry about your daughter. God bless you both. Sincerely,Lorraine

I can really sympathize with you. I too have Fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, sciatica, diabetic neuropathy and I had endometriosis for many years which went untreated as I couldn’t get anyone to believe my pain. I was finally diagnosed at age 68 where a doctor found it surrounding my ovaries, attached to my bladder and bowel. They removed a lot, but had to leave some there as it was too dangerous. My pain too is mostly right sided. Severe, gnawing pain in foot, leg, hip and right rib pain radiating through to my back. I have been on opioids for a number of years. I cannot tolerate most drugs and this is the only drug which gives me a little relief. I know they are not good for me, but if I don’t take them I cannot function. I cannot cook for myself, take care,of my home or do my grocery shopping . I would just be in bed all day. When I take my meds, I can go shopping, maybe have lunch with a friend once in a,while and go to the YMCA to swim. It is such a struggle every single day, as you are well aware, living with chronic pain. I feel that at the age of 78, and have been suffering for nearly every day for thirty years, that my health care provider should be helping me to be as comfortable as possible with whatever drug helps me. My doctor told me that narcotics are not for fibromyalgia, just for cancer patients. My husband died of cancer and said he wasn’t in a,huge amount of pain. He hardly took any medication. I really believe that Fibro pain may be comparable to cancer pain. Big hugs, Pam❤️🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦

What brilliant lady,a really interesting video. I’m a chronic pain sufferer. I took a lot from her talk. Maybe she was put on this world to help many, many people. I bet she would sooner not help people and be out of pain. God please take her pain away, she is a regular beautiful human being xx

Your story touches my heart💖Thank you for speaking up despite the pain. You are So Awesome and So Brave😃I read something yesterday that made so much sense to me. When people have allergies or any other condition, they "seek relief", "drug seeking".Why should pain patients be treated any different for simply seeking relief from their pain, via medication? Chronic pain in a horrible condition to cope with and there is clearly a misunderstanding regarding it in our country.Blessings and hugs to you💖🌺

Since they cut me off pain medication I went from being functional to bedridden and in a wheelchair , started smoking as I don't want to even live anymore.I would like to see the sadists that have attacked pain management doctors to have both their legs broken and told --- deal with it.

The laws need to change... I am in so much pain that all I do is sleep and I can't even get so much as 10 pain pills a month to help me on days where I feel like I'm dying

NH and OK have passed state laws making it much easier for patients to access pain meds and for doctors to prescribe. I believe that more and more states are going to pass these kinds of laws.

I don't know where you live but maybe in your state you have a doctor specialised in pain. I live in france, and at the hospital we have a ''department'' specialized for pain. Doctors over there are awsome. Maybe it exist in your state ?

Some options are Re-origins program to reprogram your nervous system. Also low light laser treatment can help some conditions. A lot of chronic illnesses are from a dysregulated nervous system 🥰

Good Sleep and gentle movement are very helpful. Fun and humor help too. But please don’t take away the one medicine that reduces the chronic nociceptive pain components that many of us have as drivers that amp up the central response. First you have to put the fire out, then you can begin the cleanup and rebuild.

2024 and its getting worse. With prescription shortages being predicted, my daughter, a chronic pain patient for 20 years now battling untreated ovarian cancer and undertreated pain, talks daily of suicide, and she will, because for 18 months plus, doctors have lied, dismissed, not listened, not examined, ignored and abandoned her. She has a 14 year old son, is a single mother parenting from her bed. Her son has told her to go, that he understands. This woman is still able to walk, talk, function. What the hell is she on because my daughter cant get help, in rural Australia, the lucky country. Yeah, right.

People don't care about chronic pain. They care about apparences, and if the pain is not obvious they brush it off.

Pain is "pressure" produced by excess of heat. HEAT causes dilatation of cells and consequent pressure. The head is a solid block that cannot expand much, so the pain implodes and becomes unbearable.
