Resident for many years in perth but lets be honest and state Perth is not a city like Melbourne or Sydney Period. It is a quieter city ,not to say it doesn't have its nightlife and fair share of good places to visit if on holidays. But if you want full on fast paced hectic ass crowds and dazzling eyesaws go to the east coast of Australia as Perth has always been a laid back behind the times city compared to it sister city's by design but who wants that when the outback is where its at not the city...

(1) Caversham wildlife park is over priced and not very good. If you want to see kangaroos, go play a round of golf at Marangaroo Public Golf Course. (2) Sunsets at the beach are a must if you visit Perth. Fremantle or Cottesloe both great spots for sunset over the water (3) Get out of the city, which is mostly just a business centre (4) mountain bike riding on the Kalamunda trails through the bush (5) kite surfing on the Swan River in Melville waters (6) surfing at Scarborough beach (7) catch a ferry to Rottnest and spend the day riding around beach to beach Most good stuff in Perth is outdoors, and all the "tourist" stuff is rubbish.

No mention of Guildford or the Swan Valley. Guildford is one of the earliest settlement areas of Perth. It is about as historic as we can get here in WA, because the Swan River Colony was only founded in 1829 or thereabouts. So not 200 years old yet.

Lived in Claremont in 1973 loved it sad to leave remember then I use to alternate Saturdays go to Perth and next to Fremantle as back then the shops would shut at 12:00pm loved the train rides

Perth ain't boring We have Adventure world Kings park Royal show certain time in year Amazing beaches Go to Busselton we have the biggest jetty in the worlds Walk around the city at night Perth zoo Wildlife parks Hillarys boat harbour AQUA So many other things to do!

For a city of 2 million, it’s bugger all. Walk around the city at night??? Like you can’t do that anywhere else??? Busselton isn’t Perth. The Royal Show is on for 1 week a year and is not an international attraction. It’s barely a Perth attraction. The best thing about Perth is fringe festival in Jan/Feb. it’s proper world class. The beaches are totally amazing.

Australia is multi culture country and respect each other .Perth is most laid back country .it may be boring for some.not Sydney and Melbourne upbeat ..more scenic view.more people settle there.its most safest among all state..getting bigger population now days...I love Perth Australia my country

Perth is a nice place. Clean, not so much traffic, beaches are nice for people who love going to the beach on summer... You guys can go crabbing, fishing, camping and alot more. But take note it is just, no night life here for those who likes going out at night. The city is dead after 9pm. And the shopping center closes at 5pm and I think 3 more shops till 9pm which is (Woolworth, Coles and K-Mart)...

People say Perth is borring. Well they have not really given there selves time to look around ,?? I could name a load of places to go. sit down with some one who is in the tourist part of it. Make up a bucket list. and you will not even get to all of it..When you finished with Perth? take a trip up and down the coast. Dont forget Fre,o.lots of history.Get up out of that comfortable chair,switch of the TV, And get out there.

Darkdragon 98 they managed to pick the crappiest parts of Perth to go to. There's Rotto and Leighton and cot beach Lancelin so many other nice places. Not Fremantle and ciccerelos
