@@DangasTackleTips looks like a good spot for kayak fishing😁 is hard to find a quiet place to fish these days some times I like to go out on my kayak and admire the beautiful beaches and the swan river in Perth😁

@@pa1264 good on calm conditions, can be tricky when the wind picks up or the swell

@@DangasTackleTips yes I found that out at trigg beach a week ago it was nice and calm early in the morning when I launch off the beach not far from trigg point it was ok until the wind picked up those swells can be unpredictable at times.😁

Hi Rob sounds like you were bloody close. If tje assist hooks are on with rope then tailor always run the risk of biting through! I like to fish along side of reef in early morning or late arvo, if overcasr fhe bite window is extended. But first light is best for me. If you are on norther beachs there are some reef you can walk out on on low tide and fish the drop off but be careful aa i have been cleaned up a few times. If on the beach have a look on a sunny day on top of the dunes and you can spot good reef patches to try out and google maps is your friend but ofteb on the beach some reefs will be now covered or vice versa aincw photos were taken. If in doubt you can fish a gutter. Simple way is to look at where all the water is rushing back out to sea after a wave or looking for big indents on the actual beach. If there is not a lot off reef on the beaxh you can just walk down and cast into the gutters until you get a hit. I tend to prefer structure

I prefer the high mate, if tide is low will walk out on the reef or cast alongside 👍👍

@@stasyaksa1411 in the river flow is always important and makes a big difference for tailor. I think some change is better in the ocean it still is important but not as big deal off the beach as long as there is structure/ gutters for bait to sit around

Then mate ! if flicking lures I would recomend a 8-10 foot rod 4-8kg graphite rod. Catana, veritas or gomoku storm are some good mid range options. If using baits i would go heavier, particularly if wanting snapper off the rocks. Maybe a 10-12 foot pen prevale or equivalent. For the reel I would go 4000-5000 reel if using lures. I like nasci or stradic if in the budget. If using bait I like shimano bait runners 6-8000

@@DangasTackleTips thanks for the quick reply. I was looking at veritas combo, they look pretty good and decently priced. I have only done bait fishing so far but very keen to jump into lures as its more practical. Is there any reason you wouldnt recomend a 12 foot rod for casting lures?

@@Rbassantable 12 foot would be fine as long as not too heavy. Your constantly casting lures so can get knackered earlier or start losing technique is too heavy

Hey mate, I cant give away the exact beach online as my old man would kill me as it is always quite. I can say that is is significantly North or the River and you don't need a 4wd

Is always good to fish at a nice quiet beach without any one next to you catching all the fish😁
