Solo canoe trip in the wilds of Michigan Upper Peninsula attempting to connect a series of remote wilderness lakes by way of the small streams that feed the Peshekee River that flows to Lake Michigamme. Beautiful rugged country.

Nice video, loved the drone shots and the beaver bubbles. Also always wondered why canoeists do not use double-bladed paddles very much.

Thank you for watching and your feedback. On river trips, I usually don't use double-bladed paddles, but they are great in solo canoes on windy lakes.

Awesome. I will be coming to that area this year in early May and plan on camping at Craig & Crooked Lake. I also plan on making a extended stay of my adventure into the U. P. I used to live in Oscoda 83 -92 at the Air Force base and really loved that area. I never had a chance to make a trip into the Upper Peninsula. Where did you get the paddle and is it a two piece.

You will like it up there. It's rugged country. Very scenic. Greenwood Reservoir is worth a stop too if you have the time. The double blade is by Bending Branches and is 280cm long. It breaks down into 2 parts and can be set at different angles. I like it for trolling and speed.
