I love watching you paint! How do you paint black animals? I always have such a hard time cause unlike with white I don't see the warm yellows or cool blues that you see in white.

I use lots of blues and purples. Also I paint black a bit more transparent as it adds more depth to the piece.

Nice ... did you mention every color you used? Are you just adding white to the raw umber or something else? Some of us are very beginners and need a real step by step...but I have not found it yet on youtube.

Rosemary and Co synthetic Ivory long flats. I use a range of sized from 0 - 8

I use Gamblin's Solvent free line of mediums. I mainly use it to add more flow but it does thin the painting out a bit.

which color do you use? i guess burnt umber, violet, white, ultramarine blue, black and ... ....

Burnt umber underpainting Titanium white Cadmium red lite Yellow ochre Ultramarine blue Ivory black Basically a modified Zorn palette

What brush is being used for hair please? I am painting my first dog and it's white. I have already tackled it wrong so hoping I can adjust it.

I use Rosemary and Co. Synthetic long flat brushes! Lots of bounce and hold there shape really well!
