Sheep naturally are just as friendly and affectionate as dogs. Some people just don't see that because they only see sheep on factory farms where there they're too frightened of people there to be friendly. Get the sheep over to the sanctuaries and adopted as pets and they will stop being afraid and start letting out their natural friendly sides

@@AyaatABD , I know, they're completely underrated as being compatible pets. Very harmless and friendly animals. Too many people are just concerned with raising sheep in large flocks for their wool (which is ok), or for their meat (which is not ok). No more sheep and lamb slaughterhouses!! They are such kind happy harmless animals which deserve to live long full happy lives. Shearing them is ok because they're not getting hurt or killed by being sheared.

@Ryan Gagnon , oh. I was thinking that older sheep have less quality meat also, and that they won't slaughter an older sheep for meat. But I guessed that they could still put them down since they can't afford to keep a sheep anymore which can't supply wool for profit anymore. Sheep being put down (as long as it's humane) at an old age is still better than having lambs slaughtered which haven't grown up and lived that long a life yet. I knew that some shearing farms are way too rough with them and they often cut them too, but I didn't think that most of them did that. I thought that when done right, and when shorn more gently and not so fast, that it didn't hurt them. I know that even sanctuaries shear their sheep so their wool doesn't get too long, and at sanctuaries they definitely shear them gently because they care about the animals. But you're probably right about the large industrial farms being too rough and hurting them, at least some are

My little guy LOVES back rubs. They get so much debris on them and in their wool. They're itchy babies!

Most will when they're finally with someone who shows them compassion and caring attention. I wish more people recognized how pure and innocent these animals are and started looking at sheep going to slaughter in the same way that they look at the idea of dogs going to slaughter. Both sheep and dogs are happy loving animals that should be loved and allowed to live full lives, not just dogs, but both dogs and sheep

@@alvexok5523 Sheep are created by the Creator to be consumed by humans. But that doesn’t mean we should act bad to them. They should be treated with respect and dignity, taken care of, not be tortured mentally or physically. When its time of slaughter is upon it, it should not see the blade and the cut must be in the correct area. Less painful than stunning and may only feel pain for few seconds at most. Besides if my friendship with sheep reached this level, I wouldn’t be able to slaughter it.

@@FidelTrask The reason why we don't slaughter dogs is because the Creator did not make them permissible to eat and therefore prohibited to slaughter. The Creator has created different animals and from them each has their different uses for mankind. Dogs would be support. Guide dogs, guard dogs..etc.

we like to pet them and they sometimes seem to like petting but they aren't pets in classical sense of the term. Primary reason we keep sheep is to avoid mowing our rather large yard, which saves us a lot of time and energy. Having meat for free as a side effect is nice too.
