The instrumental alone of this song is amazing! One of my favourites from "Nightlife", an album that I will never tire of. Am in the US where the album peaked at #84 which was a travesty. By 1999, their presence on the US music scene was way on the decline, as US Radio had started to ignore them by the mid-90s. A shame.

Some of the synth sequences, some of the audio layers are just incredible. Add to that Neils voice. Creating an aura of dance yet with wistfulness.

None of the songs get old, no matter how old they are or how many times I hear them.

While a man's landing on the moon (as we know ARGUABLY) and Major Tom have their 50th anniversaries, this one turns 20 today! Time flies, but major part of PSB music never gets old! One of the best Pet Shop Boys singles for me personally and one of the last great videos from them (unfortunately)! The video's set based heavily on S. Kubrick's famous "2001: A Space Odyssey". The tune's taken from one of my very top PSB albums that is Nightlife, that turns 20 years in October as well - a masterfully crafted hedonistic dance affair produced by the likes of D. Morales (like this one), Rollo and Craig Armstrong.x
