Naw I don’t think he’s lying. I think this moment got away from him. He was so deep in it he couldn’t tell the forest from the trees. He couldn’t see the big picture and it blinded him to the fact that he should have given it to beast mode. It’s easy being on the outside looking in. In other words this moment was too big for him and he screwed up and now he’s living with the consequences.
