Pete Davidson and Judd Apatow spoke to Access Hollywood’s Sibley Scoles about their upcoming film, “The King of Staten Island.” Judd shared the story of how he met Pete thanks to Amy Schumer after she showed him videos of the comedian’s stand-up. Pete explained what it was like having his personal friends and his late dad’s firefighters join him in the film. When asked about the fascination with his love life, Pete explained, “I have no idea. But I think everybody has had enough of it for a lifetime. I have no idea.” “The King of Staten Island” will be released on-demand on June 12.

I just adore Pete. He has great manners, too. I'm glad that people are finally starting to see that he's just a nice, down to earth man that's just doing what he loves and not hurting anyone. Less naggy comments are nice to see! lol

Yeah I never understand why people are so hard on him. He had a shitty hand dealt to him as a little kid and yet somehow he was the youngest ever cast member on SNL. Even with his mental struggles... that he’s honest about... he always holds his head high and seems like a good dude. I think he’s a respectable guy at least. Don’t get how people legit hate him.

as a psych student it makes me so happy and proud to see what pete is doing right now. he is putting himself out there with his struggles and this will help so many people, i hope pete will realize how much positive impact he has on many people. he deserves the world and i am totally looking forward to this movie!

As a person with BPD I am grateful for Pete's openness so that the stigma may be erased a little more from the bad rap Borderlines have gotten in the past. I always knew I had different issues and wanted help and sought help. PLEASE seek help from therapy that works for you. Judd was awesome to do this. I saw an interview with him many years ago and knew he was a stand up guy . No pun intended lol. Thank you all. Borderlines just need love and understanding. We have serious loneliness issues and are afraid but we are smart and strong and caring people. God Bless.

He's a comedian and that's his art form. He chooses to express himself through his work much like song writers, singers, painters, etc. He is telling us his experiences in the best way he knows how, poking fun at himself and jokes all around. I don't see how what singers like ariana making a song about him and a break up song about him is any different than Pete making jokes. His last stand up on Netflix was sooo much tamer than I'm used to because it felt like they reigned him in and he wasn't able to fully let loose. He made 2 jokes about ariana and her fans had a hissy fit. Its fair game
