I was 10 years old when this song came out in 1980. I’m 54 and can still listen to this song by Pete over and over.

What I love about Pete is that he can write monster rock anthems like Baba O’Riley and Won’t get fooled again then turn around and write the catchiest pop song you’ve ever heard. This song is pure ear candy 🍭.

One of his best tunes, hands down. Such a simple ditty, but with so much soul and attention to arrangement, dynamics and cadences.

This song was the only thing my dad seemed to enjoy about taking us to the movies to see Look Who's Talking, it was the only thing I remember him mentioning about the movie as we left. I feel worse about making him sit through Wayne's World 2, that one had no redeeming qualities lol. I take that back, he did laugh at fake Jim Morrison and the Indian.
