I can't believe how much sense Pete Waterman actually makes here. I have watched interviews with him before and have rarely agreed with him, but he definitely gets the problem with the music industry today. I believe artists are making a lot more music today, but as Pete said, there is not enough variety and I don't think there's been real variety since the late 90's/early 2000's. I've still got my fingers crossed that a change is going to come in the music industry.

We're still waiting! The charts are horrifically homogenous nowadays. That's because they are run by four or five massive record companies
