Really enjoyable watch and listen. I visited Chester last year and enjoyed … had a good chat as well to a few of the operators including Pete. I’ve been following the progress for Making Tracks 2 and look forward to visiting again. The cathedral is lovely as well … and great news to hear that the two layouts maybe joined together at some stage and displayed in a venue! 👍 Always good to see layouts modelling the WCML with overhead electrification and plenty of AC loco’s!

Hornby have received criticism in some quarters recently on their quality control so it was good to hear that last year's locos ran so well on the first layout. Long may the latter continue.

In the last couple of years I have managed to get a layout built by my carer who is a really good lad and my friend's Jim and Tim they all helped setup an hm6000 controller with my mobile phone to control my trains I am disabled with M.S and have only the use of my right hand and I use a stylus pen on my phone to control my trains I only have a single circuit of track due to space but I am really happy with it.

Hornby, please, please do take Mr Waterman’s advice yourself. The whole ‘by the time you want something, it’s already sold out’ thing is very true to you as a brand. Pete is a wise man, and knows the world of modelling well. With the way things are going, not even he will be able to get hold of some models, and like he said, we need ‘little Michael’ to get into modelling after seeing this layout. This is a perfect opportunity for Hornby to become a greatly improved company that new and old modellers will appreciate in supplying for their hobby.

We (Redruth MRC) have purchased a huge model railway layout based on Reading station in the 1989s/90s. We plan to exhibit this and provide some gentle competition to Pete.

We know it's a "HUGE" layout, because you told us, and you told us you saw it. But, we didn't see it - and that's why I watched the (whole) video!

Hi, thank you to Pete for giving up his time. And for the money he raises for good causes. Can I give my feedback? An hour on one podcast topic is a brave move. Personally I’d have preferred it if the cast was broken up by different topics. I felt an hour on just this one topic was a lot. Just my personal view of course and just my feedback. Thank you.

It would have helped if some images had been shown of some aspects of the layout although I appreciate Pete would not want to spoil many of the surprises and the overall impact. However, despite me wavering at about the half-way mark, I did stick it out and felt the whole thing was more than worthwhile.

I would normally agree with you BUT I could listen to Pete Waterman wax lyrical about railways all day……oh I just did over a number of films. Coming to see MT2, can’t wait

Please can you expand on what you are saying? Is it due to their pricing, quality issues or a poor choice of models or something else?
@dominustaker1651
@dominustaker1651 Жыл бұрын
@@jeffreysmith156 I would assume it’s the prices. Come on! I am not paying 250 quid for a loco that should be about 50 quid.
